Not a whole lot has changed with this car other than racking up the miles! At 182k now, this has been my daily driver for the last 2 years and apparently 26k miles and hasn't skipped a beat. Replaced the steering linkages and idle arm a few months ago but still have some adjustments to do alignment and suspension wise. New parts did not solve the popping noise that I hear when backing and turning out of a parking spot. Unfortunately one of the tie rods I got from FCP was Lemforder china, completely different part so we'll see how long it lasts. I have some more oil leaks to chase down over winter as well and will need a new set of shoes for spring.

I did finally go to a car show for the first time in years for the town festival. I moved to a town of 440 people and unbelievably the neighbor down the street has a euro spec 740iL which is pretty neat, there's also few older Audi's in town as well. The Hellcat on the end is the first Hennessy HPE1000 kit installed. 1140hp to the wheels lol.

Figured the first post on the updated forum would be good to prove I still have this car! With the move to Eastern Iowa last fall the 528e was removed from its tomb in the back of my storage unit and saw daylight for the first time in 6 plus years. I'm still getting the garage setup itself and haven't begun sorting through my parts hoard but somewhere I have a eta engine harness to swap onto this and I'm sure I have replacement sensors somewhere as well. Among other things though this car needs a full suspension refresh. But hey no more excuses, I finally have a permanent workspace for the project(s)

Saw this RHD E36 323i the other week in Madison. It was super clean for being driven around in winter, guessing a recent import.

Bummer it developed a drone, sounded great when you first put it on. What brand was the muffler?

So far so good I had not religiously used any additives except for the Liquid Moly system cleaning kit FCP sells initially but I’m now adding in Power Service every tank that I fill up or when I remember to toss some in while at home.

I hadn’t heard about it either but it’s not the only place those resources were available either, just the most public.

Ideally you want to test the boat when it is hot as hell out, it makes perfect swimming weather. Either way, I dropped the heads back off at the machinist so I will let you know when I'm back in business for a boat day and we can test it out!
