MEPEH injectors seems to be going through some changes. I know some of you guys have gotten rebuilt injectors from there but they currently just have rebuild kits listed. Given everything else in the fuel system is new and roughly 240k on the motor it's time to refresh the injector set if they all pass a resistance test. 

Granted the parts will be here this week, I won't actually have the time for about a month to touch the car between moving out of my apartment and a canoe trip to the boundary waters.

I was going to use MEPEH about a month ago & emailed him some questions.

He said he is slammed and barely has time for the injector rebuilding that he does (on the side perhaps?)

I read a DIY on just replacing the filters and o-rints with the kit, seams easy enough. My dad might still have a small ultrasonic cleaner I could use too.

Yup. Dropping in Sunday the 2nd and plan is to be out on the morning of Friday the 7th. Pretty excited as it's been 7 years since I've been up there.

Tis sitting in my storage unit  I wanted to get this running for my wedding as I'd love to take photos with it even in its mismatched state. I feel like its a sign especially since I've been seeing e28's often lately. I have the MPEH kit for rebuilding the injectors, just need to go to the storage unit and pull them.

Over due non-update from over a month ago. I attempted pulling the injectors but was reminded that the engine harness was in poor condition and ended up breaking a coolant sensor. It was wired without a oem plug and the connections broke off the sensor itself  The car is buried in storage now.

Figured the first post on the updated forum would be good to prove I still have this car! With the move to Eastern Iowa last fall the 528e was removed from its tomb in the back of my storage unit and saw daylight for the first time in 6 plus years. I'm still getting the garage setup itself and haven't begun sorting through my parts hoard but somewhere I have a eta engine harness to swap onto this and I'm sure I have replacement sensors somewhere as well. Among other things though this car needs a full suspension refresh. But hey no more excuses, I finally have a permanent workspace for the project(s)

Progress is progress, I’m sure it was awesome to have it see daylight! Congrats on the new place and the garage!
