well it happened, ordered about $1650 worth of crap tonight for it. (will get about $160 back in core)

      Still remaining to buy:

      coil overs

brake pads & fluid (still on the fence about pads)

      front stainless brake lines

Not sure if I asked/you answered, but any interest in my coilover setup or coilover/bbk setup

I've got a stance coilover/camber plate setup already welded up ready to bolt on. I also have a RX7 BBK that I could include.

              Bad picture, but:

Do you know the spring rates?

I probably won't need the brake stuff as I've already ordered brakes/calipers

That's some serious cash coming from the guy who didn't want to buy a radiator fan relay. 😛 Keep up the good work!!

Got the new wheel bearings and hubs pressed into the trailing arms today.

Only things I'm waiting on is the skid plate & tierods (and the crap I haven't ordered yet)

Gonna hopefully convince myself to work on it tomorrow

This was more of a pain in the ass than I'd like to admit, especially by myself a584a19006dc4e29a38df37fc78704bb.jpg

Butttttt the rear sway bar is in. ST 19mm. Can't imagine doing that with all the subframe crap in the way

I can confirm the lack of joy that takes place during sway bar installs. The flatter cornering is all worth it

With the subframe in place installing the larger sway involves both wheels off and creative threading the bar in from the passenger side. It works but is a pain. Key is to figure out the proper orientation before you start threading it in. Much easier your way.

sway bars suck third-ed and move to strike.

glad you got a skid plate, they are 100% necessary for these swaps.

Only thing I'm nervous about is I have an aftermarket core support (my original one was kinda twisted and rusty) the aftermarket China ones work well enough, they are just quite thin and bendy. I think it should work because the red46 plate includes some hardware (drilling required) which includes a plate to sandwich the core support. Should be fine unless I go bounce off some rocks out in moab

You could always cut the core support open and stick a piece of square tube in there.

We will see if the square tube is needed. For my uses, I doubt it - other end attaches to steering rack bolts. I guess if I hit something hard enough I'd rather tweak the core support vs the subframe/steering rack components
