Writing down another update to keep me organized.

    Things to do:

    - Swing by radio shack for a 5amp inline fuse for the wideband brain.

    - Buy a new VDO oil pressure gauge that works with my sending unit.

    - Install glove box

    - Install trunk lock.

    - I also need to cut some more of my fenders off in the rear.

    - Clean up the grill and fender mounts. #easy

Who has re-keyed their locks?  Please school me on this guys!

After doing some work to the BOV I found out that I had a pinched ICV barbed hose fitting which had to be leaking badly.  I kind of already mentioned this...Now can this snow go away?!?!

Agree with TJ, this thing is tits, aside from those blue couplers.

Idk if this was mentioned, but what turbo are you running?

The turbo is a TO4E 67mm .82 T3 P-trim J-bearing.  Not huge but I'm not going for 900hp.  I want to max this out to its full efficiency.  I still have to figure out what that will be though.  HA!

Can you paint silicone?  I'm trying to get away from this money pit nickel and dimein' me unless I really need something. (That reminds me I need to order some transmission mounts.  My passenger side mount is ripping!)

Just ordered 10 NGK 4554 plugs.  Gonna gap them to .021 and have them all pointing open end away from the intake.  Because RACECAR!

I'll take a look in the garage tomorrow and see what I have.  I think 2-4 2ft pieces that include straight and 45 degree angles along with 4-6 cut up pieces that are 6-10".  I have some silicone connectors and t-bolt clamps that go together.  The pipe is painted black.

well if its enough for me to finish my e36 charge piping, that would be radical. Ebay stuff? or actually weldable tubing?

It is ebay stuff.  I did have it welded no problem.

Installed the strut bar with 1/4" gap from the exhaust. After driving today the exhaust is now touching the strut bar. Metal expanding from the heat? My motor mounts are solid. I'll keep an eye out if the gap comes back.

In related news the wideband is back up and running. Next thing necessary to do is close up my plug gap. Now and then I'm getting breakup at high rpms.

Say the downpipe is 3" O.D. and is 304 stainless, it would only grow 0.010" radially at 700F. Compound that with the expansion of the turbine housing, manifold, block, head, and strut brace and (without actually doing  the  calculations) you might be approaching 0.090" total expansion. I would suspect the engine is shifting back and forth on the engine mounts, yes even the solid mounts.

Make sure the rubber buffer #15 is installed. It slams up against the back of the subframe under braking so the engine mounts dont have to restrain the powertrain longitudinally all by themselves.
