Trying to find the motivation to climb under the car and do the driveshaft and trans/diff fluid.  I have a feeling that the guibo thing might have taken a crap.

To fill trans fluid take out the shift boot and use a funnel with a hose from inside the car, no need to pump it in.

Good idea!  That never crossed my mind.  That was one of the things I was dreading.

Worked great for me, but pour it into the funnel slowly, I had a brain fart and forgot my trans only holds 1.2 qts, for some reason I was thinking 1.8, so I dumped a half quart of redline on the ground.

That's some awesome MacGyver-ing, looks like when I got my fan clutch off without the special tools and the big-wrench/swing a BFH method failed

I like them. I did the a-pillar mount years ago and I wanted to mix it up.

The wheel looks too modern for the car. Also, how do you fill up the trans from there? I'm just curious, as I haven't owned a manual prior to the winter E28

2ft of clear hose and that funnel. Pop the hose into the side fill hole and start pouring! So much easier than the pump method.

Oh, so theres a legit fill hole that you can access through the shift boot? Wonder if my Getrag 265 has one.

There isn't a fill hole through the boot. I just pulled mine up to access. You have to lead the hose to the fill hole while underneath the car. It isn't directly under the shifter.

I just popped my drive shaft back in after flipping the csb around. Installed it backwards, oops.

While I was down there I took some close up pics of my exhaust. They go in order of front to back. Pics are of the weld/mounting points.
