I want to weld a 1/4" thick plate to my jack points so i dont feel as bad about things

Looks good man! Does the LS require larger fuel lines? I can now gladly say that i have now seen one of those 135 degree bend AN fittings in use. Are the lines aluminum? I wouldnt think steel would be uncoated.

those new lines are oh so tidy. *thumbsup

Thanks!  This thing has been jacked up so many times...  LOL  a local indy shop smashed up my rockers after they were perfectly straightened out by yours truly.  Those will get bent back and painted.

All the dents gives the jack something to grab onto!

It doesn't require larger fuel lines.  I'm running 5/16 steel fuel lines for now.  Got the line in a 30' roll from napa.  We will see how they hold up but they should be fine.

Two 120 degree AN fittings are looking great!  Behling Racing in Butler hooks it up for these things.  I broke one this AM while making the hose and they only charged me $10 for a new one.

Behling is my new Go-to instead of Pegasus (fast cars, slow service)

What about just spraying some clear spray paint on the lines? I am a rust-o-phobe.

You dont have to humor me, I just cry at bare metal

This is fucking crazy. We may actually gain a net positive +2 running E30s in the group this season.

Chipping away!  Got the trans and starter bolted up

Next, laying out the wiring harness, steam vents, inake manifold then headers!  Gonna roll it under the car and lift it all into place.

                steam vents?!

I installed my m52 from underneath. I think i like doing it that way better than ramming the engine hoist into the ceiling.

Im guessing you are using a Sikky swap kit?

Sikky kit with their aluminum drive shaft and stainless 1 7/8" headers and other bits. Hopefully I can get some time in the garage this weekend.

Picked up new HD control arms, e46 ZHP steering rack, tie-rods, bushing for the treehouse control arm mounts and the CATuned coilovers should be back from getting welded up soon.

What does the e46 zhp rack solve that the z3 doesn’t?

also what rates did you go with?!

I believe the zhp rack is nearly as quick as the the z3 but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and is easier to find. They also came in some non zhp e46s as well. If I end up replacing the rack in my car when I do the lines this year, it’s probably what I’m going to get.

From my limited reading it is not as twitchy as the Z3 rack but still quick. I was looking for something that wasn't totally annoying to drive on the freeway for road trips.

Working on the steam vent routing on the 4 corners of the heads. This MSD intake is BIG.

PCV routing is next up on the to do list after the steam vents.

Anyone know of a good, low profile product to put in the trans tunnel for noise/heat shielding? Something with adhesive backing would be great.77008a6f47b84a009a2cc1de09edfc95.jpg7f176b6338464cf65de25b6bda4ff61a.jpgbcd38d799266ca6d7879977c38eb5d0b.jpgc9c8a815fd253224f462a213a114f891.jpg
