Rowley; This engine straightpiped to a 1200 dollar muffler also sounds like absolute sex.

1992 525it with an M30B35 Swap -
Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)I'm going to buy it tomorrow hopefully (in all seriousness)... Don't steal it from me!
-
BMW considering in-car advertisingI'm going to buy a $70,000 car (or more or less... The point being that BMWs are NOT cheap cars) and then glare at my "popup" screen to make sure I don't miss a 5% off deal/free egg roll at the local Chinese take out restaurant. And most likely crash my car in the process! These deals are totally worth it. /not

1987 325e. Eventually Boost+M50 Swaplooks like the work of a ver knowledgeable previous owner. i think the radiator hose is my favorite.
I actually bought the car off a guy named Jeff..... He's giving you "jeffs" a bad rep man.

He said it was an emergency fix because the hose cracked in the middle.

1987 325e. Eventually Boost+M50 SwapSo I got my M50 longblock the other day.
I needed some parts for my swap so I got the following:
late model coolant reservoir
e28 535i motor mounts
M50 alternator (my longblock didn't come with one. I got it on the cheap!)
Then I filled up my corolla and went to milwaukee to meet with Snap and KaiserRolls for lunch.
I bought these headers off of KaiserRolls for my m50 swap for $50. The welding connecting them to the midpipe is almost too good to be true.
Then Kaiser drove me to meet up with Rampelsauce. I bought a zinnoberrot trunk + is spoiler off him for $40... Yes... I am in the back of an E30 coupe WITH an e30 trunk. So very spacious indeed (and I'm almost 6'2").
After a very dangerous drive back (freezing rain.. saw a lifted jeep with meaty tires spin off the interstate at 70mph smack right into a concrete wall under a bridge) my corolla had used less than half a tank to get to Milwaukee and back (I'm from madison; I filled my corolla up before I left)
I "Kryloned" the is spoiler and did the trunk swap. Here's how she sits.

Opinions of best midsized sedanTDI will last forever. Maintenenance will be the most expensive for a VW though. Probably the best gas mileage.
Volvos have incredible build quality. Could put a decent dent in a semi. As stated above some of their automatics are shit.
Subaru's are good; however I don't like the MPG that they get, or their horsepower/liter. They're Japanese and reliable (even up to 300k like most toyotas) however have fun working on a boxer! Sparkplugs and headgaskets my friend.
IMHO get a Toyota. No bullshit; no problems, will last forever. FWD is good in the snow with snow tires. and it should cover all your parents needs. Or if they want a little more luxury lexus' are fantastic.
Diesels to me are looking more and more promising in the recent years however.
I'd stay away from anything domestic just because they don't seem to be up to par with build quality. Atleast during the recent years. Just look at the KBB.

1992 525it with an M30B35 SwapDude even it's a pile you got it for nothing. Well, pretty close.
There's a "build thread" on bimmerforums for this car. Its been around and heard many people say to stay away from it. As long as it was worth it yo you
Yeah no doubt Rowley;
I saw the forum Baxters talking about.
It's just a bunch of people from the south (who probably have never even seen rust before) saying "That cars past its prime" due to the fact it has minor surface door rust.
The P.O. who originally built it drove it in the winter but kept good care of it.
I don't care what anyone says;
I like it; it was super cheap (by my standards atleast);it's MY car; it's rare; and until I find out its totally rotted to hell and unrepairable (Looks relatively spotless actually..) I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon!
It's the first EVER M30B35 swapped touring in the U.S. and the swap is proper as fuck.
Baxter likes his E30 but won't sell it for anything less than 6k. Everyone thinks thats over priced. Does Baxter care? No. It's his car; he likes it; and that's what he'd sell it for.
My E30 was far from a perfect car and I also got cash ontop of the trade so I'm very happy.
H8ers gunna H8.
Or people are jealous that they don't have a swaggin' waggin'. who knows, right?!
