Fuck that dealership in particular
I'm no lawyer but isn't that federally illegal?

Can I vote for all of them?
Makes me feel like Christmas morning.
Does anyone else miss the suburban?
I'm actually trying to find a decent turbo diesel truck myself the difference is I'll have a running BMW to take to events.
I am late to this thread but how amazingly clean is that car? I got my e34 540 from Texas and I can't believe how clean it is. That state mummifies cars. I'd buy every car I ever own from that state if I could.
Amen to that! Once you go V8, you never go back. #V8Mafia
Too bad the doors are already rusting.
you saw the horrendous blue interior and its the doors you're worried about?
Chris only cares about growing the parts stash...
I second the motion to go with BC's!
I'll be getting them within the next month
FCP Euro has them on sale for $200 off as well.
what app or site is everyone using for Craigslist searching ? site I usually used for a broader search got deleted.
SearchTempest works alright

cant wait to see the fraken motor. non-vanos + 4.4 liters is best of both worlds.
It's essentially bolt on for the swap with very minor modifications. Hopefully I have the time to do it either this summer or when I'm a nuclear power school next year.

No price in this case probably means if you have to ask you can't afford it.
That's what I said! He's pretty much selling a Ferrari on Craigslist.

Nice! Let me know if you need part pricing or have any coilover questions!
What is a good coil over brand to go with? I've found the BR Series for $1k and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with those.
I've fallen off the map here on WIBimmers so I figured this is a good way to get back into it.
I picked this car up this summer west of Dallas, Texas. The green 540 was riddled with rust beyond repair and had to go. I picked up this car with 128,000 miles and drove her back home. It was kinda a barn find, two guys who own a BMW shop got it from someone and proceeded to do no maintenance on it.
I decided to try and do this car some good right off the bat. I dropped the money on an 18-piece Lamforder control arm kit, engine mounts, and polyurethane subframe bushings. Doing the work on this car was an experience I've never had before. I would pay you if you found rust on this car. I was rubbing the dirty off the brake lines to find unoxidized metal (see picture below).
Some other things I got done were getting my 2-piece, 18in style 5s redone. They were sandblasted down and are now powder coated, the barrels are imitation chrome, the faces are gray, and the bolts are zinc coated. I also let Marc screw around with the exhaust and this video resulted... https://youtu.be/16bq2TZDAZE
I have some maintenance I want to get done but I am still a college student so it's getting done slowly. I will be commissioning into the navy in May so I should have the money to get some more done. I am thinking about buying another car so I can be dedicated to working on this car but it's very hard to justify having two cars being a 22-year-old in the navy. I also need to find a friend to be able to do my own work down here.
Some upgrades I would like to have done very soon are:
Mikes (mine and Bens old car) should be pretty close to 280k by now haha. I am sure at least one of Chris' has to be up in the 200k range too
I wouldn't be so sure, that would mean they'd have to be consistently road worthy and running in order for that to happen.
The old car is dead but the new e34 only has 135k on it now
I found this link to this site in a YouTube bio. It's an awesome tracking website for you to keep records for yourself and check out what others are doing to their cars. It be great to bring a lot of WIbimmer guys to the site so it's easy to check out each others builds and whatnot. Make a profile and add me as a friend so we can get the community going! Link to my car is below

All of these parts are replacing parts I shouldn't have put on the car in the first place but "I wanted to drive it".
Moral of the story is the 540 isn't being driven till a lot of work and money goes into her...
This is the video Chris sent me right after he finished Saturday. I don't know why but the video is pretty quite but make sure to listen for Chris laughing like a little school girl at :32
He also reported back that there is no extra noise on the highway besides when you punch it. Moral of the story is muffler deletes for everyone.
