PE Mod is removing all the stuff inside the mufflers, isn't it? I don't have that sort of equipment
-
Not exactly "removing all the stuff" but removing the perforated pipe inside the muffler and welding in a solid piece. For a couple hundred bucks you can get it done by an exhaust shop. Just please, for the love of all that is decent, don't cut the mufflers off.
-
Looks like PO already did the PE mod. And I'll take your word on the mufflers and leave them alone lol, I have lots to learn about modding this thing and advice is one of the reasons I come here.
Case and point, your first suggestion just arrived today. I'll take it for a spin tomorrow to try it out since my car cover disappeared somehow anyway, I'll need a new one to keep birds away...

@jc43089 the n55 sounds a lot nicer than the n54 and you can correct me if you know otherwise but I believe the f32 doesn't have resonator's where the f30 does. It's the same in the e90/e92. Sedans have resonators.
Hmm, that is quite possible, now that you mention it I don't think there was any resonator.

Nice! The ZHP knob is awesome!

Good to get baseline #s before doing upgrades.

I feel good about these numbers and the graph itself looks healthy. There was an mr2 on before me and his graph was a mess, like it was missing or not getting good ignition.
Anyways, up we go

Upgrade & slap it on a dynojet.

Pretty good! A lot of n54 guys dyno with standard correction (std) so if you compare yours to others it may seem low since they used sae. Figure another 10whp based on a 4% difference between the two. Now on to mods!

Yeah exactly, that's what I figure. I didn't think I'd be near 300 obviously, it just feels so much faster than 240 lol. I guess that's the torque doing its magic. And the guys working the dyno said they have never done a 100% stock 335 before, so they didn't know what to expect either.
Either way I have my number to look back on, I plan to make this a yearly thing to keep progress visible and track goals.

I wouldn't get too tied up with Dyno numbers if the car feels good and you enjoy driving it that is a win. Ask them when the last time they had their Dyno calibrated I bet they give you a blank stare. There is no substitute for the butt Dyno, a piece of paper doesn't make me feel good. Unless something is rolled up in it.

Hmm, I am not a body repair guy but that seems fixable if they can get it to pull back out. I doesn't look like it distorted the window frame, at least the window didn't crack. Is the mirror ok besides the cover missing? It looks pulled out some by where it mounts to the door.
