Now that its finally home I can share a couple pics of it, so here she sits.

Its 100% stock (for now), just ticked over 81k miles on the way home, and has sport and cold weather packages. Also has a third pedal, that was an interesting experience. My first manual trip, alone, and starting at an airport during rush hour. Then headed across three states and 500 miles of toll roads. Good practice for sure, but I do wish I could have taken my time a little.

Anyways, it needs a little TLC but I don't think anything too bad. Badges front and rear are worn off so the front one is in the mail. Brakes are a little wobbly so those will need to be redone soon. Windshield wipers miss a spot right across the rain sensor so the automatic wipers don't work properly, those will need to be replaced. Oh and I don't know if this is normal or not, but it smokes out of the exhaust on start up a little (only for a minute or two), and the oil temp seems to run around 220-230 during highway driving which isn't dead center.

But I feel like I got a good deal on it and I have extra money set aside for repairs and mods, but I plan to do mostly just maintenance this year. I don't know that any of the usual wear items have been replaced, so I'm thinking it will at least need plugs and coils as preventative items, and I'll have my shop do an oil change and inspection to see if they find any leaks or other stuff that needs attention. If that doesn't ruin me I'll be able to do all the usual bolt-ons sometime next spring hopefully.

On a side note, I lost my apartment/parking ramp keys someplace during the trip, so the car is 15 minutes away from me at my inlaws I miss it already

Thanks! I was going for something different so it would stick out a little. I definitely need some coilovers, trying to work on something to make that happen sooner than I initially thought. I think the stance will look better once its lowered some, the rears should tuck a little and the fronts are pretty spot on.

Of course we have snow on the ground now so I don't want to drive it on these tires, I ended up going with the Pilot Sport 4S, they don't like the cold.

As soon as they arrived at the shop I threw the car on a lift to get them on, and was instantly heartbroken to find that the OEM lug bolts wouldn't work on the car because I couldn't get a socket around them in the holes. Unfortunately I won't be back in Appleton until April, so I'll just order some splined bolts and they will have to sit at the shop until then
Downpipes are going in soon but I won't be tuning the car for a while until this move is over, I'd hate to start having random stuff break while I'm traveling between Appleton and LaX so much.

Since I have access to the new shop to work on my car I figured I might as well start installing stuff so the first round of parts are finally in and working. Having a BOV on a turbo car is one of my childhood car fantasies, so that's really exciting to me. It definitely sucks in the snow but I shouldn't have to drive it much until I move, and by then it should hopefully be warm enough so I don't have to worry about it.

Full time in Appleton now for FI at the new shop, any local guys should definitely come visit and I'll give you a tour! This gives me access to our brand new shop of course, so parts are going to start getting installed in the car starting tomorrow (thanks @<bdi>suspenceful</bdi>!). Unfortunately that also means I have to drive the car in the cold and snow, but a sacrifice had to be made somewhere. I might buy a beater E46 for a couple of months but realistically that's a waste of money unless I actually keep it.
Also finally got the cable to tune the car and read some codes after getting random limp mode again, but after clearing the initial set of codes nothing has come back yet, not sure what to make of that.

Car has stayed in my possession and I have no plans of selling it anymore. The job in appleton is basically a done deal so I'll be spending 3/4 of my time out there come february.

As far as the car goes, I got Spence's old downpipes now for my first power mod and will be picking up wheels and tires sometime in the spring since I'm working for a wheel company now.
I am also dropping the car off at the BMW dealer this weekend so they can do both recalls, I started getting concerned about the car catching fire while parked 2 stories under me, so I think this is better. They're supposed to be giving me a rental I can abuse during the winter and I should have my car back sometime early to mid Februrary according to the guy that called me back to arrange everything.

Outside of that I'm going stir crazy not doing car things, so at least I'll have a chance to drive my car for a bit, even if its in the salt.

I have something lined up in Appleton but my wife also lost her job in the same deal and already got a new one in LaCrosse. So we'll see how things line up, ideally we move to Appleton next February and she can work remote for the new company if things work out.

Or you have another job lined up for February?

Nothing really changed, got to meet the infamous Mr Spence in person to grab some parts off him and I bought a dual cone intake for the car last week, but haven't installed either because its too damn cold now. (I really need a garage)

Took the car on its final trip this weekend to hang out with some friends and its basically parked now unless I decide to go sliding in a parking lot during the first snow.

Oh and needless to say still have it and did not sell it, I just love it too much. I had it listed for $14k and every time someone messaged me about it the price went up to $15k. The car just suits me, not sure what would make me actually sell it.

I did make an instagram for the car to match the plates so I can catalog the build next year someplace besides this forum, I just have to remember to keep it updated now.
