Rewelded the transmission mount for more strength and ran the wiring through the firewall today to clean things up.

I'm a little confused on the power steering routing...

Basically the routing for me will be:

reservoire -> power steering pump  -> rack  -> cooler -> reservoire

The smaller bolt on the E30 power steering rack. Is this the pressurized fluid going in or the fluid coming out?

your routing is correct. not sure if you really need the cooler, though, not all e30s had them. its not particularly hot around here...

      from realoem, it looks like

M16 (larger) banjo bolt is on the supply line from the res to the pump

M14 (smaller) banjo bolt (both ends)  goes from the pump to the rack

      then

M16 (larger) banjo bolt returns from the rack to the res. with the cooler in there for cars that came with it.

Well I don't NEED the cooler, but the return end of the reservoir has a fitting that goes directly into the cooler so its free to have one and it would cost me to not so I figured why not.

I found the in vs out on the reservoir and I think I have it figured out now. I may have to get some high pressure banjo lines made (any suggestions on where?)

This shows the cooler ends I was referring to:

I've had custom lines done at Hartland Service. Excellent job, done right while I waited, and very good prices.

They're awesome. A few friends and I have been using them for years. They actually custom made me braided stainless brake lines for much less than you could buy them anywhere. I need to see them soon to have power steering lines made as well.

Well I was able to get creative with some extra lines.

Power steering is hooked up and the oil filter is relocated.

Before picture - notice how cramped (the oil filter) that would be with the brake booster relocation

                  And now:

Now I am going to redo all the brake lines (in the mail), install the coils and BBK while I am at it.

I got the wiring moved into the interior so that is progress, but it still needs to be cleaned up. Whole interior back in. I'll probably take the motor/trans out to redo the brake lines and clean everything up while its out.

Then throw some miles to work any potential gremlins out, put it up for sale, and start work on the LS M3.

Here is a better picture of the only place the remote oil filter fit with everything attached.

Much better here now and still easy to access for oil changes.

I'll probably wait until next week to pull the motor so more updates to come then.

Motor is back out to redo the brake lines.

Looking forward to getting the motor back in, it will be much cleaner than the last setup. I also painted the remote booster reinforcement plate.

                          Brakes system is done.

Engine and trans are back in.

Headers were ceramic coated and installed.

Cant decide if I should do the coils now so I only have to bleed once or down the road. Other than the height change will installing the new coils/knuckles change the steering to the point where I'll need an immediate alignment?

You should be fine if you want to wait for an alignment, not much is going to change a whole lot. I've always believed you should actually wait a little until everything settles anyways.

A ton more progress last night. Did a test fit of the headlights and hood and luckily my dimensions spot on.

All the routing (gas, coolant, PS, oil, clutch) is officially done, which was a huge headache. Waiting to make a mount for the PS reservoir after I do some more thinking on it. Overall much much cleaner than it last was and I am very happy with the outcome.

Really don't have much left before she is road worthy again and I start working the bugs out. Now if only this weather would cooperate...

No progress on the car, but I did score a sick deal on a 6 piston front 4 piston rear wildwood 310mm big brake kit for the M3. Huge upgrade over the single piston OEM setup.

Just went to install the BBK onto the coilovers and found the guy who sold me the BBK lied and they didn't get the corrado rotor center opened up to fit on the e30 hub.. Not too happy about it, but before I throw a few back, and turn my E30 into a redneck lathe, does anyone have or know of someone with a lathe? Will literally take 10 minutes...

                                      Whoa bad coincidence.

                                      I realized I hadn't started a LSM3 thread so I just noted that was a good score.

Totally unrelated I have coilovers and BBK (RX7) for the 318/M62. Everyone runs corrado rotors with that kit, but the hub of the disc needs bored out. I went to install it and the disc isn't sitting flush with the face of the hub so I need someone to lathe them out so I can get them ready to install.

Need 15 minutes of the girlfriend's time to bleed the brakes and then she is road ready. Hopefully I can get some better videos this time.
