Thanks for not taking offense to my comments, they weren't intended to be offensive.

Green looks amazing on JDesigns vert and fitting on some cars, but not among my top choices on an E36 (unless its the M3 GT green)

Good opportunity to turn this into a track car if you are into that sort of thing. 

I was once in a similar situation when I was 16 and had a rabbit with frame damage. I bought another with a bad trans for cheap and combined good parts onto the straight chassis. That worked out well for me.

It looks like it may be repairable but that core support is definitely bent.  This will not be a simple swap of parts and there is no cheap way around fixing this.

Try calling Certifit for the core support. They aren't the best quality but you get what you pay for. Also hit up stew crew. He has a e36 parts car

I didnt mean the frame horn (circle with four studs) since the bumper shocks would have kept then from being damaged. I was talking about the portion that runs along the sides of the bay/over the wheels. The very end of yours is probably bent

thanks for the replies guys. I'll be thinking about what to do with it over the next couple of days. It'd be a shame to junk it, since it still runs like I didn't rear end somebody!!! Any recommendation on how to get the hood open? The latch is stuck. Should I just take a crowbar to it since the hood is done anyways?

I'd pull out the kidneys and see if you can access the hood latch from there or see if you could pry it out from there. Hood and core support are junk anyways and StewCrew has a parts car for ya.

I agree with taking the kidneys out. You should be able to pry at the assembly from there

You might not want the fenders. We rolled them. With a hammer. And a forklift. So. Yep. Maybe some parts are salvageable. But most certainly not the areas we hit with a hammer. Or. A huge forklift.

I have a less beat up hood for this if needed for free lol. I say pull it out ghetto rig a driving light and keep on driving. Or drift it til death.

I have a hood and fenders that are black, pretty decent shape, a little rust on the inside of the lower part of the fenders.  Free if you want them.

now that I think about it, the only thing you will probably want from stewcrews car is the front core support. the fenders have been rolled with a fork lift and the hood fell on the ground when earl was taking parts off of it.

It was sort of tossed but who is keeping score=P It is still a really straight hood. Might have some rock chips. At least you didn't need a windshield...
