I'm still g3tting "too rich cod3s on bank 1&2" so I just popp3d in a f3ul pump.
I'm going to pump.you.up

Sup3r 3xciting!!!

Light is still on...going to shift my attention to the mass air flow sensor
-

Random pic on Lake Dr.
Took the car into Urban Motorworx for the engine mounts and passenger side arm as well as a look into the too rich bank 1 & 2 codes.

Might need to do a head gasket on this beast. Compression test to come.
Doesn't seem too tough. I did a eta to i head swap 11 years ago so it has to be like riding a bike.
-
Slightly rough. I'll donsome more digging and report back.

I have the inverted torx sockets. I'm good, Timmy

Need to go through this list one by one.
P0171 - System to Lean (Bank 1/2) :
* Fuel system
* Excessive fuel pressure.
* Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors.
* Leaking fuel pressure regulator.
* Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel.
* Vapor recovery system.
* Induction system:
: : - Air leaks after the MAF.
: : - Vacuum Leaks.
: : - PCV system.
: : - Improperly seated engine oil dipstick.
* EGR system:
: : - Leaking gasket.
: : - Stuck EGR valve.
: : - Leaking diaphragm or EVR.
* Base Engine: :
: : - Oil overfill.
: : - Cam timing.
: : - Cylinder compression.
: : - Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2Ss. -
They are but I'm getting too lean on all banks. I'm debating on going back to a stock tune if the air flow sensor doesn't do the trick. Of course after doing a compression test.
-
I do here a puttering like those old Chevy trucks with a exhaust manifold leak. This could be a big issue with the O2 sensors but would it be throwing a too lean for bank 1&2??

Yes. Any leak before the cat that's monitored by your pre-cat o2 will mess with your afr's and can cause a too lean.

Did some work on the M3 today with the help of Dan The Exhaust Man. Now waiting on parts that should be showing up tomorrow.
4 out of the 6 cylinders were leaking at the exhaust ports due to loose bolts. Hmmm, why do some shops reuse one time use components?!!?

Just got the valves adjusted... leaking oil??

Took some material off of the motor mount and its heat sheild to make room for the header.

Missing some material. This is the #6 cylinder which has had the most issues.

What headers are going on?
The same that were on before. Just installing the correct hardware the correct way. Getting all BMW parts from Concours.
