and hey I gotta ask how much did you get your s50 for? I see s52's on car part for 1500$ and it makes it very tempting. an extra 1000$ nets me a good chunk of NA hp but I'm not sure if buying a very used s52 is a good idea ha.

I went with the gripforce stage 2 clutch. Read some good reviews on bimmerforums of guys being skeptical, but they had good things to say. After I put it in and beat on it for a while I'll post my review as well. It's a cheap alternative at this point. If I have to tear it out in a year, lesson learned I spose.

I picked up the s50 with great compression, full harness, zf trans and DME (literally everything to swap) for $1450. Some stuff I won't be using cause I was already 24v. But now I have spares which is nice

The CSB is mounted on the e36 DS on the opposite shaft than the e30 DS.  Just make sure the offset side is mounted the same as the e30 DS was.  This sounds confusing but when you see it in front of you and side-by-side it makes perfect sense.

Thanks for the heads up. Still on the fence about where to order from. Wholesale something or other is where I'll most likely go.

As far as shift stuff goes

I was thinking to just order the condor kit with the short knob (?) the uuc evo3 with dssr is like $460. I've been told it's worth it, but idk. Rebuilt stock stuff with Delrin would still be better than nothing I suppose

I'm not sure what you are running for engine and trans mounts, but I built this floor mount shifter like the AKG one and MAN it's amazing. It's not finished in this picture, but I have a solid brass handle on it now and it's killer.

This is in my daily beater.

I believe it! I just want a decent shifter feel. The car has other areas that need attention first lol. Like putting it back together

I have the uuc w/dssr. The dssr is awesome but I would rather have a floor mount shifter. Don't get me wrong, its a nice product but I don't really care for a shorter throw.
