Ride is the same and it is a bit more stable in the wind but way more confident in the corners and only lost a tiny bit of fuel economy but this may be because the old g forces on the wheels are worn very unevenly causing more rolling resistanxe

The wider the tire the worse fuel economy, maybe put 225's on them instead of 235's when you replace the tires.  Also funny that that the pics are in my parents driveway.  Did the hub bore match up?  I have the 4th hub ring adapter at my house if they were the right ones.

Backstory, my dad bought these wheels to put on his 06 Maxima because the craigslist post said they were 17's and he didn't even look.  Turns out they are 18x7.5.  So his good tires that he took off of his stock wheels when he had Blizzaks put on didn't fit.  They are 5zigen pro racer wheels, pretty legit in the tuner world apparently.  Seen alot on Subaru's, Civic SI's, s2k's, and of course, Nissan vans.

AANNNDD now my e46 trunk light dash indicator was on even with the trunk perfectly closed and also the key the handle and the trunk release button on the dash arent working lovely.... I will have to do some digging. Most likely where the wires flex when the trunk opens and closes I bet a break is in there...

It's almost always a broken wire. I've fixed them on a handful of e46's.

I have had to repair my e36 harness where it bends for the trunk to open as well.  Use some 3M rubber splicing tape over the whole thing once you repair the wires, it seals to itself and stretches very tight.  I use it at work for insulating lug/bolted motor wiring connections, but you can find it at at any hardware store.

Ok... Finally got my parts from Pelican after ordering almost 2 weeks ago... not too happy about that and they didnt even send me a sticker :( and I realized that I ordered the wrong size  copper lock nuts for my exhaust studs so gonna see what options I have.

And found out why my trunk would only open with the key in the tumbler and why the trunk open light would stay on with it shut...

That was a fun one to get to i had to almost cut the entire boot in half to get to it.

So  made some progress on the e28's super eta. I installed the new exhaust manifold studs (which go in a lot further than you'd expect). I got the old manifolds of the original eta because the super eta has a different downpipe layout over the regular eta. Also I got the oil pan off the seta which had about 20 lbs of nastiness all over it so i used about half a roll of shop towels and brakleen to get all the greasy shit off of it. Then ground off all the old gasket on the pan which is hard as a fugging rock. Gonna tackle getting all the old gasket off the block with a scraper tomorrow. Also I wanna find the ass that thought that using 26 tiny very fine threaded bolts to hold the oil pan on was a good idea and kick him (or her) square in the man (or girl) BALLS!!!

Ok finally back on to do an update... Last time I left off on here was I got most all my parts for the Super ETA swap and manual swap.... Well here some pics and some info for whats been done.

Well I removed the oil pan and cleaned up all the nastiness and didn't get any pics of that just due to wanting to get it out of the way and wasn't all too entertaining just getting all the nasty hard gasket off and putting the new gasket on. But then I moved on to the timing belt and water pump. This was just one swipe from under the crank!

                                    4A141C79-40BF-4259-AA15-F6AA2A48DAAAzps

Timing belt and water pump are on! That was so easy to do on the m20 (Does anyone have an M20 Water pump pulley? need one ASAP!!!)

                                    2B638E5C-9CD8-466D-9A0C-BB4ED1A12720zps

The blurry engine has taken flight!!!

                                    Shits about to go in

                                    0280DF08-C3AD-478A-A275-0E9C5F9FC760zps

                                    Going in

                                    1B590CED-914A-4DF9-BCA6-CF42360C510Ezps

                                    Close... But no cigar

Finally after wiggling and jacking the trans up and down about a bajillion times I got the engine to set down on its mounts and bolted in the trans crossmember!!!

Here's what my old trans bushings looked like compared to the new ones

Starting to look like a car again!!!

Anything can be done with a welder, you would be doing some crazy shifting to break that bracket off lol. We got some good stuff done today, I will get the corroded nasty hose connector off of the thermostat housing this week, I picked up a brass plug for it on the way home.

With balls big enough you don't need one.
