Scratch that last comment, Still only grabs 4th gear.

1. Trans is somehow bad?

2. Shot clutch only grabs 4th?

3. My mock shifter plate rear support isnt at the right height/angle.

Will it shift between gears with the engine off?  Or are the results the same?  If the clutch is not disengaging all of the way you will be able to shift with the car off but not with it running.

I tried playing arouns with this a little but before putting things back together but didnt seem like i felt a difference.

You should be able to shift gears by putting a screwdriver or something through the hole for the shifter linkage and rotate/push/pull (that's what she said) into all of the gears.

Still working out the transmission issue but good news is I finally picked up the parts Mkoepp and AndyHundley had been holding for me! Clean front end panels and a new clutch set up. Also it seems whenever I go on a parts run I come back with another car... I'll post up E30 pics this weekend.

It's not for me! I wouldn't wanna stoop down from the higher ranks of elite 5er ownership. Jk it's a great car being reminded of what driving a M20 is like along with the body panels should get me in high gear for getting the E28 rolling in spring. As long as I can get me a trans

Front end was taken apart last night. Kinda funny how the 15" wheels make accessing the inner fender body screws that much harder haha. If I had 16's on the car I would have had to swap them out working on the ground in the shop. 

Anyways I'm gonna bend out the core support for now but its eventually need to be replaced if the car ever gets painted. Its torn up on the bottom from a previous accident and in general the whole support is bent inward slightly. I have rust holes on both of the footwells going into the wheel well. This should probably be fixed before everything gets rotted out.
