I have H&R sports on my wife's E60 with stock struts, almost 2 years now and it rides smoother than stock and almost tucks 18" wheels, most people that ride in it don't even know it's lowered
I replaced the P/S line that connects to the reservoir using this part number 32411138419 and napa transmission hose. Hasn't leaked since spring 2013. Oh and new hose clamps.

Did Battery reset and it was all good to go .=D just was panicked with the warm temps we are having now =D didn't want to have that heat blasting the entire time and I have AUTO climate control
got it out!!! thank god!!! just used and easy out and out it came... weird how when use a tool for a specific purpose that it was made for it actually works. also changed the oils and rotated the tires on my snow beast where I found that the previous owner had almost completely knotted the FL brake hose glad it didn't break on me and explains why the brakes were kinda soft... still wanna put braided steel lines on it for better pedal feel.

Trunk lock is installed. Locks and unlocks with ease.
I have a new trunk actuator coming. My old one was seized up and locked in one position.
I also have a drivers door rebuilding kit. That will be next then on to the passenger door.

Just be ready to cut and extend wires if going that route. Ask me how I know ... I wired up my edis ignition without any f**ks given to make sure it worked as it was intended to. Now I am going back and rewiring it all to actually make it organized and clean looking. I hit myself for not doing it right in the first place. Just saying.
Looks like a great project nonetheless. Keep it up!
It's a pain in the ass to be honest but the end result is worth it. The air dam itself isn't that expensive but getting the euro bumpers to go with it is. There is a pic somewhere on the Interwebs with a air dam like this and no bumper ... it actually looked pretty good.

Yes. Turns out that at some point, don't know who, where, or when, the bottom of the gas tank got dented at a point directly in line with the pump. This resulted in the strainer getting broken off, and over time, the pump must have sucked up some dirt or gunk in the tank which overloaded it and caused it to short out.
