Big week boys, got engaged on Monday, put in an offer on a house on Wednesday, and just today the fiance said she misses me having a sports car.
Best week ever? Perhaps ![]()

Don't think I've actually posted this here yet..
Last year I bought me a 1989 e30 325i, 5 speed, in need of some work. The car has an odd rust hole in the door, but the frame rails and floors look fantastic! Zender front bumper that I intend on pulling off and selling, and some awesome tan comfort seats.
Here it is on the way home:

Monster truck status:

Sweet ebay shift knob and Mtech boot:

First thing I did was install some cheap KYB GR2 struts, Vogtland springs, and e90 drop hats up front. Then, because I'm cool like this, I spray painted the bottle caps, bought the cheapest set of 195/60/14 tires I could find on ebay, and threw on some sweet 20mm spacers. This is basically how it looks right now:

If all goes well I should be back in an e30 sedan this weekend
Suspension is all sorts of odd mix-n-matched stuff (Honda springs, Cadillac shocks in the rear), and he said it has a super-eta bottom with a 2.5 head, unknown cam and it has a "lumpy idle" but it looks hella clean rust wise. I figure suspension is easy enough to replace with e30 stuff, and as long as the motor runs I can take care of any issues that arise.
I bought an H&K VP9 for no reason other than I wanted one.
Much excitement to go shoot it.
That is all.
Nice to see you back in the e30 scene. Looks like a clean car!

Thanks man! It's pretty clean, definitely in need of paint and some other cosmetic things, but overall a very good base to start with ![]()
Nice to see a fresh e30 build instead of the usual gay m52 swaps people r doin.
Didnt your last one end up on its roof?

You mean this one...

Another m20!
The M20 ain't goin nowhere!
Yay=)
Oh E-Monster, how I've missed thee
Good post OP
Glad to see you back around here
Thanks man, I'm glad to be back!
Some things that have changed since I was last active:
1. My 16 year old nephew bought his first car, a 1995 318is 5 speed, needs some work though..
2. My youngest brother bought his first BMW, a 2000 323i, auto due to the fact he's constantly stuck in traffic.
3. Girlfriend accepted a job at UW Hospital here in Madison and has decided she's buying herself an M2 ![]()
4. I got sent back to night shift at the PD, and my new 2018 goal is to get Alex back into a BMW and back in here.
Please do, I fear this erection may exceed 4 hours.
Even as a very cautious driver, this is probably my biggest worry when I start driving semi's. Not blaming bike riders but its a two way communication system on the road. You have to know that others can see you as well as you see them.
I agree, I'm more talking about the 16 year old girls on their phones that haven't checked their blind spots before sliding into the next lane at full throttle.
I NEVER sit in blind spots, if I'm going faster than the car in front of me on the hwy, I'll speed way up to get past them before dropping my speed back down.
“Discovered that someone has messed with the sunroof panel in the past.“
How. Dare. You.
Ive moved on to wcec because of it
This best be a lie.
If I find out you've been on FaceBook all this time....
Gentlemen,
I'm officially off this year and shall be attending! Granted, we'll probably be driving Kayla's vehicle...
^ Can you pull me over for fun some day?
Come to my humble little city some day, we'll make it happen!
You pull over a WIBimmers member for doing 120mph in a 45mph zone. What do you do?
Shoot first ax later.

Trooper Johanning. He was a nice guy. I had my Farm and Fleet stuff on and he talked about how much he loves Farm and Fleet. I asked him if he happen to know you and he said yea so I had mentioned that I knew you through a BMW group and we started talking about his new X3 and how much him and his wife love it and so on.
That's Cowboy! He's awesome ![]()
From last year:
.
Some day...
Now that the GF officially passed her big medical test thingy she wants to go test drive cars. So far it's between an M2, Audi TTS, and possibly a used Cayman if we can find one CPO in her price range. Needless to say I'm pretty pumped!
Everything is finally settled, the fiance and I close on our house 6-17-19!
Only drawback is the 2 car garage, so I need to figure out if it's cost effective (and if there's enough room) to add a 3rd garage spot, or just go with a parking pad next to the garage for my DD.
You guys didn't stop me now we here
wut have i dun

Howdy boys!
Holidays got me dreaming and looking for another manual car to tinker with. I keep getting drawn to all of these cheap 944s...
He sent me some more pics and it looks super clean. Two spots on the front bumper where he must have scraped a curb or something, but the rest looks really nice, including the interior.
I've looked at about 5 cars in the past 6 days and all have had rust/misc issues, so hopefully this one pans out!
I'm attending a work Farm Party the night before, where it is tradition to drink until you vomit.
However, I will still be attending this E30 Picnic to see my friends (THAT'S YOU GUYS), and I will have a good attitude.
oh no ho no oh no oh no oh no no ho no
Like the title states, what is your "ideal" car build with your current vehicle? What would you like to use it for? Daily driver? Track rat? Hard parking? Little bit of each?
To start, in addition to my current suspension upgrades I would love to someday do the following to my '89 325i, which I intend to explore tracks such as Blackhawk and Road America if possible:
1. RHD ITBs
2. Long tube headers
3. 272 cam
4. Megasquirt
5. Refreshed head
6. 16x8 Fifteen52 Formula TR wheels with some stickier meaty tires
7. Gut 50% of the interior (everything behind the front seats), gut out the trunk area (carpets, sound deadening, etc)
8. Welded in roll bar
9. Fixed back front seats and quick release harnesses for track use, were I can keep my OEM 3 point belts for DD use.
In my opinion, that is the *perfect* e30 combination of parts. I love the idea of taking the little M20 and just making it better, even though a turbo kit would cost 60% as much and make significantly more power. Making the car lighter and keeping its usability would also be a big plus, it's not as if I have people in the back seats ![]()
Your turn!
