Added another spring to the wastegates :). I've never experienced anything like this before, pulls so hard. Enjoy!

Just a 2nd gear roll on the throttle.

Here is the e30 vs e46 rear caliper. 32mm vs 40mm piston

Go the tires mounted, took a look at the fender difference here, the passenger side has been rolled/pulled and the drivers side has not been rolled yet.

Still working on random parts of the car.

    1. Added a proper metro-pack connector for the fan and added the wiring for the pump.

    2. Added a bleeder to the intercooler and heat exchanger.

    3. Installed the reservoir in the trunk and yes I did leave that length of clear hose hanging like that....just to bug your OCD. Got one of them hose cutter tools, so nice...

    4. Finally got the last fitting in today for the fuel system. Finalized the fuel hoses in the engine bay area. Mounted the fuel filter.

    5. Turbo drain mocked up. Need to pull the oil pan to have the -10 male fitting welded in place. You can see the drain tube will also have a -10 fitting welded in place. I plan to use a coupler to attach.

    6. Took a picture of the coil relocation and LT1 boots I got to route the wires away from the exhaust. As long as they don't touch the exhaust they should be good to go. I have some fiberglass sleeve I'll use over the wires as well.

    7. Made a new ground cable for the battery. Still need to make a new engine ground.

    8. Hard line to AN fitting adapters installed.

    Updates:

    1. Its amazing how forgiving powder coating can be and how good it looks. Check it out, I literally took this piece threw it in the oven for outgassing and preheat and put some powder on it.

    2. Got heat shielding? Perhaps overboard? No chances. Exhaust has been installed for the last time. There are 3 v-bands and 2 collector flanges, the shit lined up perfectly...no worries on blowing out a flex pipe.

    Update...

    1. Got the last tee fitting to run my pass side brake line. Added a grommet to the wheel well for the brake line.

    2. Oil pressure sender installed for the terminator ecu and AN -4 oil line ran for the turbo.

    3. Catch can mounted, PCV lines are getting run over to the driver side wheel well. I decided to run a provent 100, it has 3/4" inlet/outlet and a return back to the oil pan with a check valve. This will be practically maintenance free. The outlet will be plumbed into the turbochargers intake. More to come on this set up. I also added a tee with a filler for the water setup, this was needed in order to fill the intercooler and bleed all air from the system. I mounted this with zip ties cuz no build is done right-proper without zip ties holding shit together.

    4. Downpipe/exhaust. I was able to get an 80 degree 3.5" mandrel bend, fits the car perfect. Put the one end in the press and made it into a round to oval adapter, worked better than anticipated.

    5. Oil pan, charge pipe, intake, and turbo drain is all off getting welded. Once I have that back the car will need to be put together and I should be close to start up.

Engine bay wiring: as I stated, I deleted the C101, spliced and ran the wiring through the blower compartment. All the extra wiring in the whole harness has been gone through and completely removed.

@SteelBlue I’ve got a SBE LS1, basically all the gen III LS have weak rods and pistons. I will keep the boost low (under 10 psi). Perhaps 600-700 level? I’m either building this LS1 or an iron block with forged internals.

Updates: I added some heat shielding to the firewall and powder coated the brackets I made. The flat ones move the coil packs up about 30mm to make clearance for the wires. The down pipe is very close to the valve cover. I also made the mounting bracket for the brake reservoir.

Alright I've entered full on sleeper mode. I added the 3.5" cutout and a full 3" exhaust with a resonator/bullet muffler and a walker sound fx 18160. Thing is so quiet, driving down the road can't hear the engine at all. In fact. this made me worried because now I can hear all these e30 noises I haven't heard in a long time. Subtle transmission sounds, rattles, its crazy. The car has polyurethane mounts everywhere. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the rear section when I had it out.

Some 16" wheels will fit and some won't.  I have test fitted 16" Contour reps and they do fit over e46 330 brakes.  Not sure what others do.

I'm actually researching this right now. My wheel choice is e38 style 5 (16x8 et23).

    -e46 325 front brake rotors are 300 x 22mm

-e46 330 front brake rotors are 325 x 25mm (as Mitch noted^) and there's a really good chance my wheels won't clear these.

-e36 m3 front brake rotors are 315 x 28mm (as Mitch noted ^), I don't think these would fit either ( might be close).

After much thought all day with the help from @KaiserRolls & @m42b32 I think I will end up going with the IRP 5 lug conversion kit and run the e46 325 calipers/rotors. These will be a decent upgrade from the e30 260 x 22mm rotor and in fact, the e46 325 setup will be 1/10th of the price of a massive BBK which is also only 300 x 22mm!

In closing, I'm going to mark this thread as closed and thank you all for the information. Appreciate it...

It's been awhile, some might remember me from the fall colors cruise a couple years ago. Now that I'm bored with the LS1, it's time to put a turbo on it. I honestly just miss the violent nature of the turbocharged m20. I'm mostly interested in driving the streets. I like turbo systems that spool fast/early and hit hard. So i chose a Borgwarner S369  (69/72) with a T4 0.91 A/R turbine housing. This is probably the smallest you would want to run on a 346. It certainly will choke at full RPM, this is fine for me, I wan't quick spool for the streets. The rest of the system will be designed to be capable of the sub 1,000 hp level with my fuel pump being the limiting factor and obviously the SBE LS1 the weakest link here. I'll start sharing some pictures now and explain some things on the way. I'd love to hear suggestions if you have.

Finally go the car on the ground ready to street tune. Just teed on the return and added a fitting to the DS sending unit, fuel pressure is solid. Oil filter relocation is mounted (none of it touches by the way). Ground clearance is solid, lowest point of anything is the turn down which is about 3.75". And added some pictures of the interior, wire diagram I made, and glove box mess.

Managed to get the flex sensor mounted under the car. I need to get two 6AN ptfe fittings to finish up the job (had the extra adapter fittings pictured laying around). I also decided to test my local premium 91 gasoline for ethanol content and contrary to what I've read on the internet, there is no ethanol (as advertised). The internet was saying even the premium-no ethanol still had some in it.

Knowing the ethanol content is important because my current ve table is based on this fuel. The flex sensor should read this fuel as 0% and my will not add any fuel to compensate based on the flex multiplier table. Once the sensor begins reading ethanol %,  the ECU will multiply my base ve table to administer the proper ratio. Hooray for being able to use any fuel available.

Shit and I worried that 245s wont be enough for my m42t e21

    Will 16s clear stock e36m3 or e46 330i brakes?

Plenty of room, just need the right offset!

Good info. I didn't want to risk the wheels not fitting with the 330i brakes.

For some reason I get no notifications of posts even though I have the notifications turned on. Is this a common issue with the forum?

Finally got the car on the ground. I approve. NO POKE!
