How many miles were on it? Just curious, the M20 in the picture had somewhere over 280k and still had no ridge , only about .003 wear towards the bottom. The shop I had inspect, tank, and hone it was very impressed, he said a 350 chevy will have a big ridge at 150k lol. And the m52 I did had 215k and the crosshatching was still there. I don't have a good pic of the M20 but this is the M52. And both of these had overheated from a cracked head.

Its not a bad design IMO. Â Manifold inlet is centered for best chance of equal cylinder filling, Long runner length to improve low+midrange power (turbo can take care of top end power ), Equal length (if not very close to equal length) runners. Im a fan of flipping the TB position though
