Had to drop the tanks to completely remove the fuel lines. What a bitch!

I decided to order prebent lines from Germany through blunttech. Going to need a few new mounting clips as well. 0d7cdc847ba0186e25c443ae44538c47.jpg

I've always just messaged blunt and he takes care of the rest. He has found me parts in the past that other places said were unavailable.

I doubt bigger lines will ever be needed for the power levels I will be at. But please do explain your thought.

Just future proofing for the boost addiction. Not that it's a big deal to redo the lines later...

I ended up being able to fix it after picking up a better bender. The return line was prebent, but the supply line was not. Not sure why bmw did this as they both have almost identical bends. I was able to save 10 out of the 12 mounting clip bushings, which is better than I expected. The screw broke off in the other 2 and there wasn't any way to get it out. Shouldn't be an issue tho. So I cleaned up the underbody surface while the lines were out and painted/underbody coated it all. I also painted the lines to help prevent corrosion starting. I should be able to get the lines back in this week and put the tanks back in.

Got the lines installed finally. What a pita. Had to use some pretty MacGyver tricks to get them where they needed to be and clamped in. Now to replace all rubber lines, install tanks and hook new pump/filter up. c66be08985366e4258819265efa8abec.jpgf5dbae0678b5b90b7d47ee72cfb58daa.jpg941b908cb67a441d4282af1e1ce5b057.jpga2c129f06c97af68c276590cb5220c08.jpge75e2fc9977e1845025a55d2d3c8c94d.jpg

Well I've been taking a break from the e21 for a drift bike project, bit decided to jump back into it today. Got the gas tanks installed with vent hoses connected, ran fuel hoses from top of tank to return line and to a new walbro external pump and e30 fuel filter. Just need to run fuel hose from hardlines to fuel rail and fpr up in engine bay. fe1f079245b31f927351aa1665b6aa63.jpg101f5ead8df3cffbed8045516d83215c.jpg

Is that some dynamat type stuff on the floorpan?

Yup. Picked it up at home depot in the roofing section. Acts as sound deadening and anti rattle. I applied it to entire floor before laying carpet down since I removed all the stock sound deadening.
