Bad idea,  we dont need any Summit vs JEGS rivalries around here.

Instead of grinding the manifold mount on the valve cover, could you make a bracket mounting plate for something that goes there and looks clean?

If a mount is needed there I could, but there really won't be anything there to mount...  Also - I plan to shave the breather hose and relocate with an AN fitting to clean up the hose routing.

So if I'm gonna go through the trouble - I might as well shave the unnecessary stuff.

FINALLY got word from Bimmerheads that my fuel rail should be shipping early next week!!!  Also got all my blue linkage parts back from having the anodizing stripped - and redone in black.  And of course the hardware a done in more zinc...

the black is much improved over the blue.

A bit of adjusting to do - but it's coming together nicely!!!

Funny thing is, your injector selection is probably based on color more than size [emoji16]

That would be my priority on something this beautiful. Cant be having 24# pink tops crashing the party

6 weeks later - it has arrived!

Drew up the fuel rail brackets, vacuum block bracket, and a modified linkage bracket (original one hits the fuel rail).  Should have them punched out by Friday at work - then I can keep chugging along!

Well.... This is pretty much how it should look once buttoned up:

Other then some fuel lines, vacuum lines under the manifold, and a vent line off the valve cover.

This looks wonderful. Really nice job getting everything cleaned up and refinished appropriately to suit those ITBs!

Not coming  together nearly as quickly as I'd like.  😒

Lots of parts ordered and arriving (still waiting on stack filters and some fuel fittings though).  Ordered and have installed most of the new pedal bushings since all the originals were literally falling apart - again though... Waiting on 1 last fitting to get that done.

The last 2 weeks have been busy with family stuff and starting my new position - so really need to crank out some god work nights this weekend and early next week if I'm going to make the picnic.

It's looking like I'll make it unless I run into unforeseen issues.  All my parts are here or will be here by Mon/Tues... Big question will be the tuning.  Can I get it started and running well enough to drive to MKE in a very short period of time.

Not a bad day in the garage!  Old cracked oil pan removed - new oil pan installed.  Also finished running brake lines so I can bleed tomorrow night.  Getting closer!
