                    Ordered the following

                    Cutring headgasket

                    Beisan anti rattle dealio

                    VC gasket

                    Vanos gasket

                    Axle lock plate

Gasket for heater core port on back of head

That should be everything needed to get the head back on and such. And to put in a replacement axle

Ordered a stone for the block, time for some "resurfacing"

Was going to tackle that this weekend, but Brooke and I are going to USAIR for an autocross event. The track at shawano is insanely cool (lots of elevation changes and overall a tighter track)

I'll be co-driving her Miata. I'll be sure to fire up the Gopro's and post some hairdresser nonsense up

Tomorrow the random gaskets and crap will show up. That should be everything needed to get the car decently back together

Spray some kroil or other oil down as a lubricant before using the stone. Really a lapping block and compound would a be better option to keep scratches out of the surface. Sharpening stones can be pretty corse for a machined sealing surface.

Ordered some seat brackets/sliders the other day, finally got them installed. In case anyone is curious about the corbeau fitment...

I went with double locking, a miata brooke sold had the single locking sliders, biggest crap ever - the double are much smoother and don't have as much "slop"

                                      1b054a1c2a6be67b85f6472e215cf65e.jpg

                                      I bought The gf's old fx1 pros

                                      26d031e612b26dfe4905ad646affd34a.jpg

                                      And in

                                      82181bae4064a1189121a485c0441983.jpg

Overall slider are nice, just could've desperately used some more careful finishing work. The bolts for the rear of the brackets are in a spot where you can't get a ratchet on them because they did not remove enough material above the hole. So you get to turn a wrench a 16th of a turn for 3 hours and get carpal tunnel

                                      0f0388fcd73202153232dabf9684ed53.jpg

The sliders actuate smoothly and the range of motion fits someone who could be 6'4"ish down to someone 5'5"ish

I did notice that the drivers seat seems to not be centered on the wheel if that makes sense. Slightly to the left. Doesn't bug me, just going to try and adjust it on the brackets a touch.

The fx1 pro has a fairly wide span in the shoulders and these just barely touch the door cards, as far as I can tell it's a non issue6e74a506408a2bce3c9193401b8eadef.jpg

Overall decent stuff that could've been finished better, but still worth not having to make brackets from scratch and repurpose some 28 year old sliders (had Miata flashbacks and decided it was money well spent)

I realize side mounts to the floor would be better, but I plan on having co-drivers at autox's & figured sliders would be handy for that & just regular summer daily tasks

Also put the repacked axle back in & put the rear wheels on, figured it would motivate me...I still need to put some black paint on the calipers....

                                      eec7f034c192a8eacab68178ae12d607.jpg

Just realized it's basically been monthly updates of what is essentially tightening 23 bolts/nuts, I need to get a move on......
