I'll most likely end up running the larger line to a catch can. Since the smaller line is brand new, I'll most likely keep it plugged into the line on the ICV. If it gives me issues, then I'll cap it off

That will cause a vacuum leak ;)
Will it cause a big enough leak to be an issue? Not sure.

What will cause the leak? Running the lines to where they need to go?

Or capping off the ports on the smaller PCV nipple and the ICV nipple?

Or was that regarding the catch can for the larger line

          Woah, triple post!
That would be with an atmosphere venting catch can on the large line with the small line hooked up to the connector behind the throttle body.

So if both go to a catch can and the ICV nipple is capped. It will be good to go?

              Yep!
May I inquire why you are venting the catch can to atmosphere instead of plugging it back into the intake boot?

I probably won't. I was just curious really.

I have some barbed connectors in a shopping cart waiting to be ordered.

I'm at that point where all the parts I've ordered are currently installed. But now I have to make another order for more crap

                          Left to order:

                          Clutch/PP/FW

                          Slave cylinder

                          driveshaft

                          Giubo

                          O2 sensor

Random barbed connectors to bypass coolant lines to TB & to route the PCV line to the bimmerworld intake elbow

Vac line from fpr to intake manifold (may be able to reuse mine, unsure if long enough)

Figure out what to do with purge valve

I can either vent to atmosphere with that line from the tank, cap off the nipple on the TB and just keep the sensor connected to the purge valve (?? Will it throw a CEL) or just run the hose from the tank inline with the purge valve and plug it into the TB (essentially just bypass the charcoal canister thing) and keep harness plugged into purge valve.

If I do the second option I'm not sure if the purge valve still even works so it may just be better to vent to atmosphere.

                          No clue yet

and hey I gotta ask how much did you get your s50 for? I see s52's on car part for 1500$ and it makes it very tempting. an extra 1000$ nets me a good chunk of NA hp but I'm not sure if buying a very used s52 is a good idea ha.

I went with the gripforce stage 2 clutch. Read some good reviews on bimmerforums of guys being skeptical, but they had good things to say. After I put it in and beat on it for a while I'll post my review as well. It's a cheap alternative at this point. If I have to tear it out in a year, lesson learned I spose.

I picked up the s50 with great compression, full harness, zf trans and DME (literally everything to swap) for $1450. Some stuff I won't be using cause I was already 24v. But now I have spares which is nice
