shifter kit question

i got a shifter assembly out of a e36 yesterday and its definitely not stock, i was wondering if any of you could shed some light on it and point me in the direction of what it is, thanks

I just woke up and dont have my glasses on, but it sure looks stock to me

its not stock im pretty sure its not

Now that I am awake I can see that it is square. However, the only benefit I can see is that it might be "weighted". Otherwise I see nothing beneficial

Pretty crusty too, the shift lever is stock for sure. Not familiar with e36 selector rods.

im not sure about the lever either,

but the linkages have ZERO play with some sort of metal bushing insert in the ends of them

Could just be some brass bushings. I'll try and look around today to see if I can find out what this is

Edit: A quick search brings up nothing that square at all. Try cleaning it up with some scotch brite and see if there is engraving or stamping on it anywhere.

I have seen that style before but I can't remember where. If it has minimal play that's the main thing. I could care less for a short throw but the uuc dssr makes for no wiggling is a great purchase.

I know I have seen that as well but the fact that it's not dssr makes me wonder if it's custom or just a cheap aftermarket that someone upgraded bushings on.  Any upgraded aftermarket is going to be dssr.

The z3 and 6spd e36 m3's have the same style as a normal e36 so that rules those out.
