<![CDATA[shifter kit question]]>i got a shifter assembly out of a e36 yesterday and its definitely not stock, i was wondering if any of you could shed some light on it and point me in the direction of what it is, thanks

The z3 and 6spd e36 m3's have the same style as a normal e36 so that rules those out.

If it has minimal play that's the main thing. I could care less for a short throw but the uuc dssr makes for no wiggling is a great purchase.

Edit: A quick search brings up nothing that square at all. Try cleaning it up with some scotch brite and see if there is engraving or stamping on it anywhere.

but the linkages have ZERO play with some sort of metal bushing insert in the ends of them

However, the only benefit I can see is that it might be "weighted". Otherwise I see nothing beneficial
