Protip: you learned the lesson on using powerwashers on engine bays, its a no no. Spraying hot water after soaking in degreaser (mean green or equivalent) is best unless you have access to a steam cleaner.

It can be adjusted but the tb has to come off (no big deal)

It is a three position switch, idle, part throttle, full throttle. So the switch can be checked for proper adjustment with a continuity tester

Pulled the tb off but one of the mounting screws for the tps is stripped. Kinda annoying.

Installed the spare TPS and it still doesn't want to idle correctly. :( when I unplug the TPS the rpms jump up to 900 where it should be. With it plugged in they are at around 6-700... makes me sad.

Idle control valve may be suspect then since the TPS signals the idle control valve to run.

Forgot about the idle issue, it went away I think it just took some time for something to get dried out.. power washing engine bay - never again

Also someone at a car show I went to took this with a real camera.. I like!

maybe I already have a s52 crank for that haha, I kinda want to take the rods out of it but the BMW gods may forsaken me for disassembling a perfectly good bottom end just for the rods lol

We'll see, I want to put it on an engine stand, pull the oil pan and see how a few crank and rod journals look compared to the crank I have. I more or less bought the s52 stuff as a financial investment so I guess if the price is right.

Yeah it look pretty nice. It had me worried when I tried to drain the fluid out it was dry 0.o but then I realized the axles have been out for a year letting it all drain out.
