New ride! 89 e30 vert
-
Sounds good on pulling the engine, I will be replacing seals and all that jazz so that will be easier with engine out as well. Too bad the rad support doesn't just come off of the e30's the same as e36's or does it? Hmm I will have to do some thinking on the bushing choice, I have UUC red RTAB's in my e36 and they squeak because I did not use the correct lube. What lube have others used and does it have to reapplied after a few years or just at install?

E30 rad support is not removable.
Bs! Totally removable
I removed mine! Makes for awesome engine mock ups haha -

Something like this.

Haha no m50 swap, Mike came over and we got it from the storage unit into the garage driving in reverse the whole way.
Goodbye to you
and you
and you Mr kickdown cable
Got it up on stands and I drained fluids while Mike took out the shifter
Exhaust removed, the muffler wasn't attached to the pipes anymore so I will have to fix that up.
Next up, pull driveshaft, and order a few things.

John,
Thanks for letting Damian and I stop by yesterday. The 'vert is even prettier in person.
As we were leaving Damian goes "your friends really nice but I kind of hate him right now" he spent the rest of the day about how you got a clean e30 vert for cheap monies

you need these wheels for your e30

He doesn't know everything! They aren't OEM E30 wheels as style 32's are 18 spoke and didn't come that small. My best guess was Hartge but those are 12 spoked and I genuine hartge's are 11 spoke.

Got some work done yesterday. Pulled the drive shaft and found this.
Anybody here seen the cam belt ride way to the front and rub on the covers?
Appears this has been worked on before, and they forgot to put something back...
I love you late m20 and your plug in fuel injector harness goodness also it's way better with both fuel lines at the front of the rail.
Engine is grimy but looks great
Coolant has been flushed regularly, this is the best I have seen inside, no rust or scale inside the block or head.
Got the trans out, never pulled an auto before so I dumped all the fluid from the torque converter out, caught half of it in a bucket luckily but still made a mess.
Goodbye evil slushbox!
Also this is getting expensive, just made a $625 order from Pelican to hopefully have everything I need.
WTB cap and rotor, Rowley, message me back.
Little bracket thing for the back of the shift linkage: wasn't going to pay the 50 bucks for a new one, somebody has to have one.
PM me asap if you have any of this.
