i guess ill put some pictures up since its been a while.

nothing new just some new pics. ive been driving it more and more to see if any problems will arise. so far everything is pretty well. i had the clutch pedal not come up all the way after driving for a while. and the temp gauge twitches some times. other than that i love driving this thing. it needs suspension really bad. i feel like im driving a boat.

i also broke the motor mount brackets. oops.

whoa, nice work! what were you doing when that happened?

Aluminum does not have an endurance limit so any force being applied to it will fatigue it. So either, those arms had a very stressful life, or perhaps your engine wasnt quite sitting straight in the engine bay and the arms saw some forces they dont normally see.

Either way, that pic needs a "Thanks Obama" caption.

Got an update, I got the new brackets in, but after about 20 miles the clutch master cylinder broke. I'm now stranded in a parking lot. I'm starting to get frustrated with this thing.

i ordered a new clutch master cylinder tonight. ive been thinking about just tearing the car down and replacing the majority of it. i want to make it reliable so i can actually learn how to drift, because as of right now i cant really drive it down the road, how is it going to handle going sideways?

im not sure to be honest. i cant think of anything else that is on the car that i need to run. i am thinking of just replacing all of the bushings in the rear subframe. i plan on replacing the suspension soon if that counts. im just sick of it breaking.

and earl i will tuck the bumpers soon.

Dont die when you drill holes in the pressurized dampers to tuck ze bumpers,  late model front end is a simple swap too

I ALREADY DRILLED THE HOLES IN THE SHOCKS A LONG TIME AGO. I COULDNT GET THEM TO PUSH IN WITH A HAMMER OR ANYTHING ELSE SO I HAVE TO DRIVE IT UP TO A WALL OR WHATEVER.

Is it common for pedal boxes to break on E30s too? I know that people reinforce the E28 ones, wonder if its all the same hardware.

I'm not sure if they are a common problem. I'm amazed that the rod broke though.
