$100 in parts. And of course, a super special tool ($400 tool) is needed to do the replacement... Awesome. Fuck me right.
$100 in parts? Do you know what Rock Auto is? Special tool? You mean a bearing press?

If its a front bearing buy it pre-pressed into the hub, rent a 3-jaw puller to remove it and use the axle nut to drive it back on.
If its a rear, then Auto Zone has Timken bearings for ~$54 each for BMWs. I spent about $9 worth of nuts, washers, and threaded rod to make my own tool to press the new bearing in.

Most of my e21 parts are less than other places offer them. I'm sure they are just as rare, no?
