This is still happening, timetable has been pushed back due to weather and contractor being busy. Patio starts this week in a few days which means driveway should get poured in the next 2-3 weeks. Most likely will try to set something up for July or August.

Great color and the interior looks really nice. I've always liked that "diamond" shift knob.

Updates: track repairs after brake failure are done. I bought standard (see: non-competition) caliper carriers so that I could fit my PFC rotors, since nobody in the E46 world actually uses the ZCP brakes. New calipers, stainless lines, new wheel bearings, all was well.  Then came my Blackstone analysis. Rod bearings completely toasted [image: IMG\_9737.jpg] So now I have new rod bearings. As luck would have it, when I went to test drive the car after bearing install, my cooling system started to take a shit. Temp needle quickly started to peg at the 3/4 mark and discovered my fan was dead. I took this as an opportunity to replace the radiator, water pump/tstat, and have an electric fan wired in to get rid of the factory mechanical fan.  I took the car in to my body shop today for an estimate on both patching up the dings/dents, and repainting the entire car. I am for sure going to repair the dents that were on the car when I bought it, but I am still up in the air on repainting it and throwing on a CSL front bumper shroud. I dunno. I love driving the car on the street and like having a full interior despite some track-oriented suspension. It would be nice to clean the car up a bit more and make it more presentable since I think I'm going to be driving it more than just only on track days. Still noodling on that one.

I see Audi Sx cars everywhere, rarely ever do I see someone using any of the car that it is. Is bmw trying to follow their car selling technique, idk. What I do know is that I don't see a lot of M cars. People drive M cars for a reason. It's completely up to bmw, if you ran a company and knew you could make more money you would.  When people buy these cars. (By these cars I mean luxury sports car, M, S, Amg) they think wow this better then the rest of them. Well of course it is, it has different bumpers, side skirts, aero, interior, and other little things. Also it has more power and different suspension? "Oh it's the most expensive one... I'll take it" These cars fall into a status symbol now not a driving experience.  Bmw flew into the sun and got in front of the game, now everyone is caught up.  The fastest way around the track is in a formula 1 car. Who is going to buy that?

This is likely the last post of this thread until Spring season when I start to do some not-very-interesting-but-required aesthetic mods like tint, wheels, black out the chrome window trim, kidneys, etc.  So the car is officially on the road and overall driving great. Blizzaks were mounted yesterday. Still has a CEL for a bad o2 sensor, and I have noticed a couple things now after 150 miles of driving that I'm going to deal with. I used MT-90 fluid in the transmission and I believe that's a bit too thick for the cold climate as when the transmission is not warmed up, it's pretty fussy about the gears. This week I will be putting in MTL instead which should be more viscous. The rear passenger shock is blown and leaking so I have 2 new rear shocks on the way from FCP right now and will install those this week as well.  Overall I'm pretty much ecstatic about where the car is at right now and have been taking excuses to drive it whenever possible. Obviously working from home doesn't give me a lot of reasons to go out, but I'm trying to find them anyway because for the work I've put into the car, I'd like to enjoy it a little bit. Both you guys looked good out there! I was instructing in novice and intermediate and remember watching the e30 powering through corners on three wheels with the inside front up in the air more than a few times.

Kicker was it rained heavy early Sunday, was dry for the rest of the day with clear skies for practice, qualifying and five race run groups...until we (the 6th group) were sitting in grid a few minutes before race start and then a brief downpour. At least the track eventually dried off after an extra parade lap, an extra lap for an aborted start (field too stretched out), and a few more race laps. Next up for me is the Badger Bimmers event at BFR and NASA at Gingerman in June, and the early July Midwestern Council race at BFR. Just for something different this season I'd like one weekend at BFR where it's not raining!
