Wasn't a jab at you or anything. I just can't remember seeing one with less than 130k. GLWS.
Oh yeah I know, I understood what you meant.

decent price on a e39 540i/6
Thanks for posting this up Chris. If anyone has any questions, ask.
I don't think I've ever seen a 540 that doesn't have a shit ton of miles on it
There's a reason for that, if you take care of them they never degrade to shitbox status. I can't say my E55 AMG was a clear upgrade honestly.
All-color does very good work. There's also a place in middleton called apex coatings.
Oregon, if you need an engine hoist you can borrow mine. It's in my shed though so you'd likely have to wait until spring.
Thanks. I can't wait.
While we're on the topic, does anyone know of any good powdercoaters in the area that can media blast as well? I've seen All-Color powdercoating in the Janesville area but that's a good price. There's also a guy in Columbus but he's a little more expensive.
Apex coating in middleton, his business is relatively new (couple years old) but I have seen photos of his work it all looks excellent.
What's the story on that G?
My buddy has one, it doesn't do anything for me. I also saw a bunch at a carshow in chicago years ago and I was unimpressed, those cars were built with a large budget to look like a poor person with a mig welder did the work.
That said, do what makes you happy and fuck everyone else. ![]()
David, that's because Evan never ventures out of the damn house
Dude. I go to work like every day!
looks like the picture i tried to attach didnt work. Nice to see you evan, we should try it in person some time
Yeah dude, I haven't seen you in forever!
Whatsup butthole. Nice car.
Winter tires. Go practice in a parking lot, things happen differently on snow vs. rain or regular asphalt.
Ask about robot legs while you're there.
Sorry about your hand man! Hope your surgery goes well.
Buy my m62 i have for $650 and save yourself the headache. Easier to swap motors then to do this job.
And at 650 bucks about a third of the price of parts for a rail job.
A legitimate powdercoat shop can dip those and strip them for you. They use some horrendously nasty chemicals that can remove that paint.
No, the timing rails are broken. It's a common problem.
Yeah, that was him.
Load fine for me.
Nice car OP.
There are multiple DIY's on the internet. It's a whore of a job, and pretty expensive. A member on here recently did his car, I don't remember what his username is though. You need specialty tools as well.
Yeah I figured that might be the case.
Can you find a used good fender locally? I really need to put a fender on my 540 and I don't want to use aftermarket parts, so that's what I am planning. I do understand E30s aren't as common though.
Dear god.
