First job on the car is replacing/rebuilding the ABS module. Previous owner used to be a tech at BMW of Minnetonka before working for Tesla. He had it all checked out and concluded that the ABS module was the culprit.

        (4) torx head screws and prying the clip off the electrical connector is all it takes.

Anybody have a known good used ABS module laying around they want to sell?

That helps, thanks. @B C tried his hand at fixing mine today for the hell of it. Worth a shot. I will be throwing it back in tomorrow to see if it worked.

Well, @B C did it again! He took it apart, resoldered some failed solder joints on circuit board and siliconed it all back together. Threw it in today and ABS light is off. Thanks again! Now onto the airbag light...

Hey @B C, why won’t you do this for me on a days notice? Kind of disrespectful. You only live on the other side of the state, not like it’s that much of a drive.

Bassboy got my prison sentence reduced back in the day when we were affiliated with gangs. I still owe him a few favors.

I recall the time @B C (baking coordinator) had me drop off turbo parts for ceramic coating and I swear he did them within 24 hours.
Nothing better than covert turbo operations in a subway parking lot.

Both of us had today off so we did a seats-out interior detail, cleaned the carpets good and vacuumed some broken glass from some previous shattered window, then a wash, clay bar, buff and wax.

The paint was pretty dry from the Florida sun. I am not an expert with a buffer. Kaiser and his gf appear to be much better skilled with a buffer, but at least there is a little less oxidation and a little more moisture and depth in the paint.

Thanks again Brian! This was definitely a workout, but so worth it. I'm stoked it turned out so well. I went to menards to pickup an order right after and even the gate attendant was amazed. He said "Did you just pick this car up? It looks real good!" Makes all the work that much more worth it.

All 6 cyl z3's have the same rear width, m's just had a different offset rear wheels due to the hubs being further inward.

Also, fun fact, these things fit 295 rear tires with no fender modification.

All 6 cyl z3's have the same rear width, m's just had a different offset rear wheels due to the hubs being further inward.

Ah this makes more sense. For some reason I was under the assumption that the subframe was different as well. But just the hubs changed?

I'm still learning new things about these cars.
