Badger Bimmers is running a drivers school at Blackhawk Farms in South Beloit, IL on June 10. Fun track and a nice place to start if you've never done a High Performance Drivers Education event before. Each run group gets four 25 minute track sessions. Instructors are assigned for the novice group and also typically for those in the intermediate group. Consistently a well run event. For info go to http://www.badgerbimmers.org/main/index.shtml

Registration is $210 for the event. You'll also need a closed face SNELL SA 2000 or newer helmet. Although rare, offtrack incidents can happen so it's a good idea to also get some track insurance to cover damage to your car. I use Lockton Infinity for the e30 (you set the value for your car and mods) and this runs me about $90 for the day.
Total sounds steep if you've never done this before but figure that the $300 total works out to $3/minute of track time. Autocross at Miller Park factors out to about $6+/minute with a lot of down time. Different addictions and both are a blast.
