<![CDATA[Blackhawk DE Event Registration Open]]>Badger Bimmers is running a drivers school at Blackhawk Farms in South Beloit, IL on June 10. Fun track and a nice place to start if you've never done a High Performance Drivers Education event before. Each run group gets four 25 minute track sessions. You'll also need a closed face SNELL SA 2000 or newer helmet. Although rare, offtrack incidents can happen so it's a good idea to also get some track insurance to cover damage to your car. I use Lockton Infinity for the e30 (you set the value for your car and mods) and this runs me about $90 for the day.

Total sounds steep if you've never done this before but figure that the $300 total works out to $3/minute of track time. Autocross at Miller Park factors out to about $6+/minute with a lot of down time. Different addictions and both are a blast.
