Recommendations for machine shop Rebuilt BMW Heads
-
there is always C&S Performance in Butler. A few of us here have used them for head work.

I was quoted $75 for a skim cut (remove .002" to .003") and an additional $75 for a pressure test on an M20 head to give you an idea of prices at C&S. They are a little more expensive than other places but even other race shops like Behling take their engines there for machining.
My only gripe with them is I get the feeling that they don't take you as seriously if you don't walk in with domestic V8 parts

I took my m20 head to Performance Engine and Machine in Middleton for all of the above you mentioned needing done. I think it was like $250 for everything. No idea if that was good or not as it was the only place around me I could find.
