Ok thank you. I’ll have to do some research on that. From what I’ve seen most people use the e-sys software

I've been watching youtube videos and my Dad gave me an upholstery book that he had from a long time ago. Which ironically enough has an e30 rear bench seat in it as an example.  I thought if I can teach myself to paint a car, build an engine, weld, etc. etc. why not this? It won't be perfect, but I'd rather it not be perfect knowing I did it then it not being perfect paying someone else to do it.

I replaced an engine on a 2012 528i, didn’t realize the injectors were coded. After some searching you can do it with either inpa or ISTA. If anyone has those in the Milwaukee area and is willing to help me out, don’t have a problem paying either.

I recently picked up a second hand EOSpeed port injection spacer setup for my N55 E92. Kummrow Automotive in Milwaukee wants $600 for the install. I'm a fairly handy guy, but these engines have a lot of electrical/wiring intricacies that make me nervous about doing the install alone in my apartment parking garage. I have done my own chargepipe, lpfp, and a couple other smaller jobs. Would anyone be willing to assist me in the PI spacer install? Or I could assist someone? Also, if anyone does walnut blasts, I would like to do that at the same time. I tried reaching out to Bobdudeman1988 here and via Facebook, but I haven't been able to get a hold of him.  Please let me know if you would like to install the PI spacer with me. Walnut blast would be a bonus. I won't pay you $600, but compensation is negotiable.  Thanks in advance, Please disregard. I will need to walnut blast eventually, but I got the PI installed on my own.  Andrew

My best suggestion is to contact Bill. I know he has a couple of full prep and repaint projects in the pipeline as well as smaller projects. He can give you a much better sense.

Hi all, Looking for any recommendations on a shop to do a checklist type inspection, really would like someone familiar with the e30 and especially an ix.  I'm hoping for a shop that do a once over of my 91' ix  let me know what should be fixed (I've turned a wrench a few times but I'm just not comfortable diagnosing issues) etc so that I can tackle what I think I can tackle and then also have them do the things that might be outside what I'm looking to do personally.   I'm pretty sure it needs: a valve adjustment (I might take on) rear wheel bearing-drivers side (I'm thinking I'd like them to do) parking brake adjustment-tried but didn't succeed so thinking farm out with the wheel bearing various rust repair-welding (I'm doing) Fuel gauge short-replaced ODO gears which was successful but since putting the cluster back the fuel gauge reads full all time, its definitely not.-might take another stab at it myself shifter rebuild-was thinking I'd tackle but being an ix might be out of my zone new suspension components-probably me whenever I get a change to buy the parts various bushings throughout-TBD I'm hoping for somewhere/one in Madison area, not trying to drive the car too much until I at least get the wheel bearing fixed Thanks!
