I would have to say a 1UZFE. Everything I have seen them swapped into sounds rad and goes sideways well lol

Im broken between a 1UZ-FE and a small block Ford.

An SBF sounds great, has cheap parts and responds well to mods, The Toyota has an aluminum block and excellent durability but is also more complex and cannot make big power as cheaply and easily. BUT stock power levels may just be plenty enough

These are really the only two that make sense. You would have to be out of your mind to do anything else.

This is easy.  Ford Coyote 5.0.  Sounds amazing and can make ridiculous power for cheap. The only issue would be the physical size is quite large compared to an LS or even the 1uz-fe.

The Coyote 5.0 is awesome, but how much can you get them for including other required swap parts?

I can imagine you could score a good LS400 donor car + a manual trans from elsewhere for ~$5k-6k and you would have all the wiring, sensors, accessories, and modules required.

About $3k from a wrecked f150.  The problem I have with the 1uz-fe is the cost to make it go fast.  It's definitely a cool engine but just doesn't scream performance.  The Volvo 4.4l V8 is also pretty awesome, please see example.

What year did they start putting them in the F150?

Yes, from my minimal internetting it looks like the stock guts on the 1UZ dont really like to see much more than 450hp and that number should be hit with pretty low boost with a turbo.

                      I believe it was 2011.

You know, we can't discount the Nissan VK series.  These are high potential engines that nissan used in the GT-R and Z Super GT race cars and the VK56DE is used in the Australian V8 Supercar Altima.  (I never thought I would say Altima and Supercar in the same sentence.)

Make sure its a body your not afraid to cut up.  From what I have heard the coyote won't fit between the shock towers without modification to the car.  But that'd be a kick ass car!

I'll give you a solid opinion on an LS in a BMW next week...1UZ doesn't make much power so I'd rule that out straight away. A Ferrari V8 out of a Maserati would be cool. You can pick one up for around $4-5k. The sound alone would be worth it.

Did you even read the title! Come on man!

                                        God dammit pat.

                                        Fine
