The strut tower hole isn't large enough to show the screws, but I would rather leave it to keep my bay nice and tidy.

Could the hole be opened up, then a machined cover be made to cover everything up?   Not seeing it might make my suggestion sound stupid, but it seems like there could be a solution.  Probably not a huge need at the moment, but maybe for the future.

I will take a picture to show you. I don't believe there is a good solution to keep it looking good as well as maintaining structrual integrity.

Doesn't look like theres enough space for your fender to sit between your lip and the tire. But go for it. I think it's spot on right now. An H2oi eh? I want to make it out to that as well...

There is a bit of room. Plus the sidewalls are nice and soft.

I'm pretty sure it takes more stretch then what you have to get a fender to sit between those two.

The stretch is more than you think. These tires have a lip protector on them that also sticks off. It is super soft and folds over.

cutting your sidewalls with fender, smart choice. Should make for a real nice blow out on the highway. Come on earl. If you want that sort of fitment, stretch the tires more, don't do the whole," Check my fender cutting into my tire side walls" that shit is stupid unsafe.

Brian.....do you not know how air works? lol I'm not going to drive with my fender inserted in there. I am going to air up a bit. My driving height will be the fender sitting about a half inch above the lip. The whole point of going on air was to avoid chipping up my fenders=P

Air is a beatiful thing.  I was "This" close to going to air on the M5.  Went with that hybrid umbrella system instead........which I am still waiting for.  Gah.....taking forever.

It is a very beautiful thing. I will still be driving low, but I will not be smashing fenders and wrecking my new paint.

It is very true that a lot of people do that.....but it is retarded.   Ironically my setup will be exactly for that, however I'm not lowering to the extreme Earl is.

Well the compact got outside for the first time since November=)

I got the airline ran for the front struts and then rolled it outside to sweep out my spot in the shop. Enjoy the picture dump=D

The drivers rear somehow snaked the tire in more than usual and seemed like it was going to unbead. lol I need to pull the fenders within the next week or two.

                                  IMAG1282zpsc6b88122.jpg

I then pulled the car in and cambered the fronts to get the fitment down. Then I realized that the struts need to be spun down because it doesn't air down as far as I want. Here is where the front is at now.

                                  IMAG1289zps72467923.jpg

I also just love the insane toe in the rear......not

                                  IMG20130703161456zpsd909d025.jpg

Definitely getting my trailing arms modified this winter to correct that.

I also inspected the chain guides on my motor and they were all good except for the right hand side one. The plastic was separating from the metal. Now to order that, paint the timing covers, and get it all back together=)

                                  Updates after Saturday=P
