Finished prepping, rust sealing (with KBS) and laid the first coat of paint down on the engine bay.

Also powder coated the intake manifold. Still need to sand the BMW logo and stripes back out.

What are the plans for spraying the engine bay? DIY?

Just a diy with duplicolor bed liner. Not looking for anything show quality. Just wanted something durable and the whole bay rust free and one color. The duplicolor is smoother and isn't as texture as other bedliners so it works well.

Finished up the engine bay yesterday.

Powder coated more parts and reassembled the alternator. I'm just waiting in the outer case bolts to show up in the mail and it will be all done.

Turns out pelican would have to get the bolts from Germany which would take forever. I got my money back and will try to salvage the bolts off my old alternator with a lot of pb blaster. Otherwise, off to mcbastard I go!

There's a rust penetrant called Mouse Milk that is used in the aviation industry. Hands down the best product I've ever used for freeing rusty bolts.
