This weekend I finished cutting, grinding and welding in the passenger seat mounts. I also finished the seam seal on the passenger side floor pan patch as well.

      ca4a62ebc84b95623ef2871c893fae52.jpg

Continuing, I painted the entire passenger side floor with kbs rustseal.

      fdb6030dc3db4d5022d6dbf6c3a75f95.jpg

Next will be undercoating the new floor patches, cleaning up the rear seat area, treating and painting it with kbs. Then I will come back with my spray gun and put a second coat of kbs on the entire interior.

I also ripped all the foam off the fiberglass hood and test fitted it. Fits well for being way thinner than the stock hood. Obviously not show car fitment, but I'm happy. I'm leaning towards using 4 aerocatch hood latches to secure it down.

No idea. I use a turbo heater. If I have it on high I can work in a tshirt out there.

Just curious about the kbs drying time when it's cooler (I can get the garage to like 45ish)

It would dry fine at 45ish no problem tho.

I've even helped it out at cooler temps with a box fan and its cured fine. Pretty much all in the prep like any paint job

This weekend I got the underside of the floor patches sprayed with underbody coating, so that's officially done. The back seat area was also cleaned up, treated and painted with kbs rustseal paint to complete the first coat of entire interior.

                          5c4a69f0ba0da18b830ee11d3e582e53.jpg

                          ed14a4a35dc8d3b20ce9455935af65c4.jpg

Next will be grabbing one more pint of KBS and spraying the final coat on interior with my hvlp gun.

Lastly I got the exterior bump trim off the car so the flares will have a flat area to bolt up against.

Got the output seals and snap rings changed out on the new diff which was way easier than I thought. Scrap pieces of charge piping made it super simple to press out old and press in new seals.

I also thinned up some kbs and sprayed final coat of the entire interior and trunk of my car with my hvlp gun.

Word to the wise, don't let your air hose get to close to your torpedo heater. Scared the crap out of me when it popped.

                            76639d37d8f35fec9ddf7dd5901266ee.jpg

Luckily I live so close to harbor freight I was able to grab a new air hose and get back in time before the paint left in the hvlp gun started drying.

I also drilled holes in my rear brace/battery holder and prepped it for install. Tomorrow I will get the rivnuts installed in the strut towers and bolt it in place.

I ended up cleaning all the old sealant off, clear coating the glass lenses, painting the inner reflector black and reassembling with new sealant.

Yeah this is the first set I've done. They are actually the ones I bought from you a few years ago. [emoji106]

So I got the ellipsoids all sealed up with newly painted trim rings and adjusters installed.

                                      0e44ec28794bb160d44b31786fe3c7b9.jpg

Next thing was deciding what to do with the empty high beam holes. Can't install the lights since the intercooler charge piping goes through it. I decided to take some chicken wire I had laying around and making mesh inserts with the high beam trim rings.

                                      03b62d5b15488d1c0b5b166179bbce2e.jpg

Paint them black and they are good to go.

                                      03cf162a9016ae302d64657f8c456e52.jpg

Then came the scary part for me. What did I get myself into?!?!?!

                                      b07ef7785a5ce4803f64ad62d8f6d51b.jpg

Following a tutorial on r3v, I disassembled the passenger e30 sport seat first to see how hard it was. Wasn't THAT hard, but still a lot of little things to get wrong. I cleaned up all the vinyl with some prep cleaner and tested the vinyl dye in an inconspicuous spot. I chose a Walnut brown as tribute to my old e21 seats. First test coat is light, but it will darken up with every extra cost applied. I think it's gonna look great!
