I'd sooner own a Ferrari (depending on model) over a Lamborghini. I'd like a lamborghini. If I had future plans of going UGR on it.

Honestly. I'd have both. Too bad the Countach is significantly more expensive then the 'rarri.

          Although:

Would have been a better comparison then the 'Rossa.

I agree.  Ferrari's politics are annoying but if given the opportunity... I'd still buy one.

This is funny.  Ramplesaucerburg and I were having a very similar convo the other day.  I'm a Lambo guy.  Nothing against Ferrari (although the items above are disturbing).  I think the L cars have more raw styling than the Ferraris.....which are more easily described as 'Beautiful'.

Best comparison, is a Ferrari is the nice girl you take home to mom, the Lambo is the hot mess you keep on the side.

Wouldn't the Lamborghini that matches with the F40 be this?

I'm actually pretty okay with Ferrari doing most of the things above - the only things I disagree with are the limo and bodywork lawsuits.

I am pretty sure the Countach would have been direct competition to the F40 to be period correct with the Porsche 959 in the mix as well.

What would have been Ferrari's competition to the Diablo then? I have never looked into Lamborghini's or Ferrari's enough to know anything other than I like Countach's, Diablo's, and F40's lol

What seems weird to me is the Diablo was introduced in 1990 and Ferrari made the F40 until 1992. They then didn't make the F50 until 1995...this all confuses me.

It makes sense if you look at their time lines.  They ended the F50 in 1997 then the Enzo 2002-2004 and now the La Ferrari 2013 - prestent

All of those Ferrari's you guys just listed were 3x the price of Lambos of the same era. Apples to oranges in my opinion.

I agree.  When you talk about the "competition" between the cars I don't even think it is fair.  Lamborghini was still a novelty that tried to kill you at every blink while the Ferrari's were mostly track focused true super cars made in limited volume.  The f355 would be closer in price to the Diablo but on paper the Diablo still competed with the F50.

Have any of you had the opportunity to see what an older Lamborghini looks like underneath? If you had, I guarantee you might change your mind on wanting to own one.

I'd take a Lambo over a Ferrari any day.

However, the '14 458 Italia is an amazing car.
