Make money install my clutch?

Once my clutch parts come does anyone want to put in for some cash? I've been getting quoted 800-900$ from locally Indys. If anyone wants to make some money PM me. As of right now I think I'm going stock clutch and flywheel. Sachs clutch luk flywheel. Also my car is an 03 e46 zhp.

Id recommend a new shift shaft seal. Also maybe a output shaft seal for the trans if its leaking. What about the shifter? Does it feel sloppy? This be the time to do all the shifter bushings and such. Replacment of those would obviously be extra labor though. I am located in Algonquin IL. But this could all be done in one day and is not to far from the WI border. Have a lift and all tools needed for the job.

Well with your labor fees I might actually have enough left over for these mentioned parts. I'm in Racine about 40 minutes north of gurnee so it's definitely close enough! Once I get the parts in I can get in touch to set up a date?

Are you having any issues with the flywheel? How many miles on the vehicle? Just asking as most of the time you can get away with doing just the clutch. Considering how much a flywheel is id def consider doing that and using the extra $$$ for items that need addressing while we are in there or such.

It rattles but that's common. I'm going to buy a flywheel just in case and return it if I don't need to replace it. The car was bought in April with 104. I drove it back from the east coast. Currently it's has 108k. I've been pricing the kits on bavauto that have the transmission seals and throw out bearings.

If you are replacing the flywheel you should look into a lightweight one. I have a UUC aluminum one in my e36 that is 11.5 lb I think and it is fantastic. In my e30 I put in a 14.5 lb lightened "i" flywheel when I swapped to 5spd. Last weekend I replaced one on a late e36 with a chromoly 16.5 lb one from ebay, F1 brand I think. It feels awesome with a light flywheel.
Also the dual mass from the e36 last weekend had no resistance to movement in it's rotation like it is supposed to have. It had 230k on it though.

How much is a new dual mass? You can get a lightweight one for less than 300.
dual mass is $500. I almost went uuc but I didn't feel like upgrading the clutch.

On an M54B30....stay with the OE flywheel. A lightweight flywheel will increase the harmonics associated with the aluminum block and long crankshaft. Especially if you like to run the engine at high RPM.

Got the new OE clutch and flywheel installed by tsweers89. He did a fantastic job! Car feels like a million bucks! I would recommend anyone taking work to him! It was definitely worth it taking it to him. Saved lots of money $$$. So happy to have a running car again that I have her a hand wash!
