The picnic was awesome! The color difference is so subtle between the two cars, was cool to finally see them next to each other.

I also liked to see the differences in the two=) I like Oxford but I like how Island seems to pop more. I also liked seeing wide versus small grilles. I really like the small grilles

Really enjoying this car as a daily=)

I made the Automotion journey without any issues. I have a slight vibration at higher speeds but I believe it is engine mounts.

My obc flashed on for a good hour during the ride home and reported 31mpg average. As long as I am in that ballpark I am happy. The obc went blank again after that so now I know it is a loose connection somewhere=)

It seems way too good. I figure that it couldn't have been insanely off and was still at least 27mpg. Anything over 25mpg in that thing and I am happy=)

Decided to hold off on suspension and wheels. I will do it once my struts go bad. Right now I would rather sink that $2000 into the compact to be happier with that=)

I have been driving this with no issues and should have some euro parts on their way shortly. Other than that it is due for an oil change=)

I did the oil change a few weeks ago with Mobil1 15W50 and a Wix filter. Valve train noise has been cut way down and the car seems to run a lot smoother. I still need to change plugs, the air filter, and find any vacuum leaks but otherwise the car has been solid. It is about 600 miles past the 250,000 mile mark and is still going like a champ=P

My passenger front strut has definitely crapped out and makes noise when I hit large bumps. It doesn't really affect driving at all unless I hit a large bump. That usually caused the car to pull right quick but otherwise nothing major.

I also installed my euro analog clock yesterday. I was sick of my OBC not working and the clock was sent with my seats. It works great. I will put up some pictures later. I also went to install my euro front bumper trim but noticed it is textured and my car has smooth mouldings=/ Oh well. I will sell them and source a smooth set=)

15w50 seems a bit heavy for an m50? Glad the car is working out well for you. I am also glad I have another BMW to drive while my main one is torn apart.

Kaiser is running 20w50. It is spec'd in the manual for our temperature range=) I think the car had 10w40 in it and on the hot days the valve train would sound like an m20=/
