I have a 1991 BMW 325 i soft top convertible that I recently purchased that RECENTLY received about a 14" straight rip in the top. If anyone has any suggestions on who will fix it or how to fix without replacing the whole top please respond.
If there's a boat harbor nearby, there's most likely a canvas worker somewhere in the area. I worked at a Canvas shop in Two Rivers for many years, and we repaired at least a dozen vert tops for various cars..
Do you have the name of the canvas shop in two rivers? Oh and the neenah place I called already and they will only replace for about 1500 dollars and I'm only 16 working part time so that wouldn't happen for a few months thank you though.
Well all the responses are much appreciated I solved it for only $10 out of pocket and about 1 and a half hour of labor. Found some of the exact same fabric with some bish fabric glue and I sewed the hole shut then applied the patch and glue.
