Rolled it into the garage and I'm leaving it there until spring.

Haven't torn into it but I'm 99.99% sure it's the drivers side axle, If anyone has an axle in not destroyed condition I'll pay you for it

I'd rather pound my nuts flat with a mallet then spend $1700 on axles

I don't think these are necessary for your application, but many people use them.

Edit: Just realized that they no longer sell them.

I believe RA autocross sealed the deal with like 12 hard launches. Snap was the straw that broke the camels back. So many highs and lows were had in .2 seconds

10/18/16 <--- i was there when snap got his name.

on another note, I will stay away from sticky tires and hard launches.

Well. It's definitely the drivers side axle. It blew up to the point of separating the cv boot and spewing grease everywhere. d2abf455270c7e97afc4d6f319745917.jpg

Pic kinda sucks, but there are broken parts everywhere inside the rubber boot.

I'm not sure if it was so much "sticky tires and more hp" I think that definitely helped break it - but these things have 240k on them & lots of hard launches from autox.

Car has LSD, jacked it up from diff, in gear and this was the result (the axle was not moving) hopefully the video posted

                                      https://vimeo.com/187926931

                                      Dickered indeed

Also, rusty calipers/rotors. I blame it being parked outside in the rain for a night.
