Removable core support was the best decision in my life (a close second was Mac sauce on a mcchicken. -no lettuce because I'm not a damn rabbit)
This is one greasy bitch.
Good news is my car protected itself from rusting any worse than it already was by neatly spreading oil everywhere.
Anyhow. This will chill on some tires until it finds a new home.

Super glad I picked up bottlecaps from Drleadballs on the cheap.
The hoist was too tall to fit under the rack.
I didn't want to put the car on jackstands.
So substitute bottlecaps (a close third behind Mac sauce on a mcchicken, maybe even a tie?)

That's about it for now. Gonna clean the bejesus out of everything. And then maybe get around to ordering parts for the s50.

Trans is clean enough for me.
I do give earl props for the tooth brush. I used a wire brush for 14 seconds and gave up. Sprayed it with gunk and pressure washed it instead.

Then rolled the car outside, gunked it & pressure washed it. Rolled it inside, cleaned some more and then temporarily hit it with flat black (I believe the PO had satin/semi gloss) I may try to go back to that. Not sure
It's no gunmetalgray bay, but I'm okay with it

Still have yet to order parts

What was your decision on the charcoal canister?
I got rid of mine last year including the hardline that ran to the back, had it wrong the tank pressurized which was funny. I am now venting to atmosphere and using a garden tractor style fuel filter to keep things clean. -
I'm just going to vent to atmosphere and toss a filter on the line
-
Yep, that's how I ended up.
-
Going to hold myself to actually ordering parts tonight so I can get this thing back together

-
Why isn't this done yet? Ay ay ay!!

Are you gonna make it to the E30 Picnic?

Because I suck at buying things
Are you gonna make it to the E30 Picnic?
Nope. Going to automotion with some friends

Parts should be getting here mid to late next week.
I'll be able to get the s50 sealed up and ready to go.
Still have to order a radiator/hoses, engine mounts, Trans mounts, O2 sensor and some random other crap for the car.
Right now the focus is on getting the motor sealed up & ready

This stuff was a pain in the ass

After the silicone spray to seal&make color last

Exhaust Hardware/gaskets came today as well. New studs to mount these and then the rest of the parts show up Thursday/Friday hopefully

Did you get new lock nutz?
-
Does header wrap still cause manifolds to corrode and crack?
Under the "Fair Oxidation Treaty of 2013" wraps and coatings applied to tubular internal combustion engine components are now exempt from defects caused by corrosion.

Did you get new lock nutz?
New hardware yes

Does header wrap still cause manifolds to corrode and crack?
Never had it happen to Any other stuff I've had wrapped. Even if it does. These are raceland headers that barely fit correctly. They don't look very nice either.
Earl you worry too much
