    It is brilliantrot, you can see the label on the shock tower in the picture of the engine bay. But I'd be really sad if you parted it out.

                I did the same reach out last night with the same results. No reply.

                I was curious about maintenance status of the m42 mechanicals such profile gasket, timing chain system, oil leaks, reasons why the radiator/thermostat were replaced (leaks, overheating), vacuum hoses, etc.

                                          Agreed, they all have a ton of miles!  Makes sense with their status as an executive commuter/highway cruiser.  I've always had a crush on the facelift e39 540i/6 msport.
