I would love to buy that and try my hand at some body work. Too many projects not enough time/room.

Ran a carfax, sold new in Burlington, WI in 93. Stayed in WI until 2002, then moved to IL up until now.

Found this while poking around on the DOR's website.  Doesn't come with keys: https://www.revenue.wi.gov/public_auction/documents/2004BMW330i-030116.pdf

If someone buys this, I'll buy the headlights and front pumper from it.

Or swap my halogen headlights plus cash.

If it is unlocked, couldn't you switch the ews, ignition cylinder, and locks from another car?

Or have a locksmith make new keys for it if all the locks and ignition work fine.

Or just buy the key from BMW...but if you want to try the hard way lol. Also, if it were locked, they wouldn't know the mileage.

i was gonna say, you can use the VIN for new BMW keys. but BMW won't give you a key until you own it, so you'll have to winch the thing onto a flatbed some how since its probably in gear/park brake on.

wowza. 6k miles. no e30 m3 is worth anywhere near that though.  sold to David Hobbs as in David Hobbs Honda/Race car driver? Cool.

Wouldn't they need keys to turn the car on to see the mileage on the speedometer since it is digital?

Not familiar with this car, bit some digital odometers turn on when the door is ajar. Not needing the key to see mileage.

Maybe the person they seized it from was nice enough to tell them the mileage?
