I usually take the Black Pearl out for closing days.  Today is one of those!  Closing on a Sussex condo this afternoon!

I've been getting a flickering oil pressure light that has turned to just being on all the time.  My VDO oil pressure gauge has remained consistent so I thought some wiring bugs have peaked out.  This morning, I dug through my nest of wires and coolant hoses to get to the oil pressure sending unit on the motor to see it was all oily.  Popped it out and threw on the the sending unit that was on my s54 sitting next to me.  Popped it back in, started it up and no light!   Success!!!

An old buddy of mine, Jon (@thic_f30), was in town and took a bunch of pics and videos.  He drove the wagon and I was in the E30. Video footage coming soon!

            cool shots!

            "M5 wagon"

i call a wagon a wagon, but "M5 wagon" just has a weird ring to it.

I finally got my OEM BMW windshield installed.  It has been in my basement for 4+ years.  New gasket and black center trim.

I tried to do it myself and hit a brick wall.  Mark the Glass Man came to my house and finished it off and filled in a stone chip on the wagon.

What was the issue? Also I never noticed until now that you have an M3 antenna on your car.

10 to 1 odds he couldnt get the locking strip to lock into the channel. its really a pain in the ass, even with the correct tool.

This!  I did not have the right tool.  Holy hell it was a pain! If I used the original gasket it would have been a lot easier.

Previous owner did an antenna delete and popped the M3 one on.  Love the look!

Put some miles on today.  Hopefully will have 1 or 2 more days of fun until it goes away until winter.

Did you set the miles to zero on the cluster?

@e30dad on Instagram did the cluster and zeroed out the milage.  The odometer does stick sometimes so the milage isn't 100% correct.   Probably should be around 4k.

When I took apart mine to do the garages I wanted to set the miles to zero very badly to reflect the new engine and my time with the car. But it seemed like it was more work than it was worth.

Just can't let go of what once was.  Using it for a vacuum gauge at the moment but maybe next year.

We are saving for a house so going to hold off on winter projects and just focus on getting the wagon closer to perfect.
